Anonymous, 03 Apr 2024can you name a few bloatware apps to delete from this mobile?you don't need any apps go to google and search for How to remove ads in Xiaomi phones with MIUI
I have had Xiaomi phones for years and this time I didn't even turn it off and have zero advertising. You can also turn off advertising directly in apps/settings

This isn't Xiaomi specific, but does anyone have a dark veil in the YouTube app? If I pull the image down a bit, it becomes normally bright, if I take my finger off, the image becomes much darker again. This happens relatively often. I read on Reddit that a lot of people have it, but nobody knows what's wrong.

Anonymous, 01 Apr 2024I use a 25W charger (I don't want to ruin my battery i... moreslower charging extends battery life, but there is another trick to extend battery life, maybe it will last less during the day but life is extended, Li-ion or Li-po batteries do not like heat and the biggest cause of battery breakdown is draining it to 0% but they also don't like when they are charged up to 100% because they work best in the range of 30 to 80% during the day as needed here and there you can charge an extra 10/15 minutes will be grateful to you rather than draining the last percentages, each battery has a certain number of cycles for charging and discharging the battery and depending on the manufacturer, they vary from 300~500 and when those cycles are used up, the battery starts to lag, battery maintenance, charge it when it drops to min. 20% and charging up to max 85% avoids the consumption of those cycles, so if you maintain the battery in this balance, it will have several times longer life

Even more so now that they remove the sd card and leave you with usb 2.0 port with such slow transfer. And don't believe people who say you need a certain internet speed to utilize wifi6. There are other benefits not limited to what speed/plan you are paying for.

I use a 25W charger (I don't want to ruin my battery in no time, and it's already pretty fast anyway) and there is no heating. With usage it also doesn't heat up, so if anyone has this problem, it must be a software issue with something constantly using cpu resources. Battery life is OK too, at least after debloating - on mobile data it is comparable to Galaxy A72. On Wifi I think the Galaxy lasts more, but it's a mobile device so i don't care about WiFi.

Soooo my 5a 4g Pixel went bad once i upgraded to android 14, a lot of other users had the same thing, so now i'm looking for an android with an aux that runs smoothly.
Did some cursory research, i know nothing about phones, is this a good choice? What's the longevity of these types of phones? As long as it lasts more than like 5 years that all I really care about. This phone seems like a good price, and I've had a samsung before and thought it was just ok.
Any other suggestions?

Anonyme, 28 Mar 2024I have Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G European version, I haven'... moreFrom "miuirom dot org":
The easiest reason for an OTA update not arriving is that your device is not in the first wave of the newsletter. Xiaomi sends out stable updates for smartphones and tablets in “waves”. This means that devices of the same model are updated in stages: first one part of the devices, later the new MIUI and HyperOS comes to the next models. The order of the mailing is random, you cannot sign up for the first wave. The update principle for both operating systems is the same.
The time gap between OTA waves can vary from a few days to months. This variation in dates is due to the fact that OTAs may be suspended due to minor bugs or may be recalled for improvements due to critical bugs. This is done without an official announcement from the developers. Users are left to wait for a re-release, which could take anywhere from a week to several months.
It is possible to predict the approximate timing of the OTAs. To do so, just understand how popular the smartphone model is. If its popularity is off the charts, owners can wait very long for the next wave, as Xiaomi needs to update a large number of devices. And if the model was not popular, they might send out the OTAs in one wave.

Nick, 30 Mar 2024Hello, I really need help. I just bought note13 pro brand ... moreNope, it's probably how is supposed to be. I know, because I just checked my mother's redmi note 12 pro and the same thing is happening on such phone even after changing the color display settings. That probably has to do something with the fact that the display on this phone is just Amoled and not Super Amoled, but it's just my guess.

Hello, I really need help.
I just bought note13 pro brand new and even from the installation i noticed the screen has yellowish tint, compare to my previous xiaomi note 9 pro.
I make sure both same the same exact setting (no reading mode, colour correction off, color sceheme vivid&default). I even tried to change the wallpaper with no effect (someone said the color of the wallpaper has some effects).
The yellowish tint is very visible if I compare it side by side..
Can anyone help? is this defective screen?
Thanks

M.d, 29 Mar 2024try changing region etc.Yeah, I know I can change region, try to disable ads with third-party stuff and all that, but... Obviously for the price of this phone, I shouldn't have gotten a top device, but definitely at least a midrange device that's working out of the box.
Xiaomi is just bad software wise, because of inconsistent updates since they have like hundreds of versions of the same phone. Whether you like it or not, it's a fact. If you don't believe me, just see how many Redmi Note 11 Pro versions were released and some of them became obsolete quickly, because they weren't even known at the first place. Because of that, the price of these chinese phones should be even less (and yes, counting the inflation).
