Just got this phone for my mother, We live in Bangladesh.
Here is my first impressions(CN Version):
1. Display:
Its super good, the colours are vibrant and everything is smooth. The screen is not completely flat but not completely curved also. It feels nice to use it.
2. Battery:
This is the main charm of the phone. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is really efficient. The battery lasts a lot. It drained only 15% of battery in 3 hour use. I scrolled the browser, youtube, facebook and played some games (Arknights, E-Football). On stanby, I left the phone 2 hours and and It only went from 99% to 98% 😂
3. Hardware:
As I already said, the processor is really good. E-Football maintained max graphics at 60 fps and the tempature hit maxed was 39.6 Degree which I think was pretty good. The phone doesn't get too warm or hot. Really good.
4. Connectivity:
Its good. If you guys are wondering living in forerign countries that there might be SIM issues, there are none. 4G bands are working and there are no call drops whatsoever. Also at first you might see some notification issues as it is chinese rom. But it is easy to fix, just go to the app, disable Battery power saver to no restrictions, enable every permission and lock the app you need, Done.
5. Software:
Not my cup of tea. We live in a samsung household. Previously my mother used galaxy s10 and my father is using galaxy note 8 since 2017. The experience is okay, there are some lags here and there. Some settings like themes are chinese, it really really annoys me when you download apks, it tries to stop you too much. But the software gives premium feeling, I would give it a 6.
6. Camera:
Decent. It gets the job done perfectly. Lighting and contrast are okay. But there are less colours. Details and sharp and nice. I would give it a 7.
Overall a nice first impression.

As it isn't currently available in any other region then china nor is it clear if xiaomi will launch their global version aswell nextGen silicon carbon Batteries. If the global version launches aswell with the si-ca batteries you can expect a long long long battery life. Sadly other chinese brands like honour only launched their phones with si-ca batteries in china and used the rosty old li-po batteries for their global version.

I haven't buy any smartphone since they no longer including microsd card slot. Im still using Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G & Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. That's a 4-5 years old smartphone. What i want in a smartphone is bare minimum (stereo speakers, oled screen, midrange soc, 5g connectivity, microsd card slot, 5000mAh battery, 33watts charge, 8gb ram, 256gb storage, ip68 rating, 32mp selfie, 50mp rear).
A plus if (curve oled, flagship budget soc, 6000mAh silicon carbide battery, 66watts gallium nitride charge, 12gb ram, 512gb storage, ip69k rating, mil-std rating, 50mp selfie, 200mp rear, audio jack, satellite connectivity, e-sim, infrared biometric scanner)

Huge 6200 battery... Xiaomi just nailed it. Battery is more important for daily uses. Other brands should learn something from xiaomi....

Anonymous, 28 Oct 2024how is it super without audio jack or sd card slot? More li... moreThe type C port is a universal port that acts as basically any other digital passthrough, so headphone jack, thunderbolt for high speed data transfer like using a portable gpu, display input, actual data transfer so hdd/ssd, can be used to connect a midi device which allows the use of instruments and dj tech. Type C has passive and active passthrough.
So to answer your question:- it does, its called the type C port and it can connect portable ssds (cheaper and higher capacity than mSD with better sustainability in transfering data) and connect headphones to it (most now having type C ports on them too so you just need a C to C cable or worst case a jack to C adapter, decent brands still supply them for free in the box).

Anonymous, 28 Oct 2024Why they put the useless curved screen...there is no point ... moreI guess because its nicer to hold a curved screen phone and looks more premium.
You do realise its only really the glass thats curved (i do think they use a flexible oled display but its mainly the glass thats curved) and fyi, its just as strong as flat screened phones and will be less prone to shattering (flat screens being too rigid). Ive got literal chunks of my phone screens glass missing and the entire screen works perfectly still with no damage to the actual display (ive got a curved screen phone thats had some nasty drops)

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2024I'm going to be so mad if they remove the Telephoto ou... moreIf they actually end up removing the telephoto lens, then you'll have no choice but the buy the Xiaomi 14T instead.
By the time the Note 14 Pro+ arrives for global markets, the 14T should have already received a pretty substantial price drop.
