can any one pls suggest.... for ppl who are not gamers.... is the battery life of this phone ok for them... phone shall be used only for basic purposes.... and how long does the battery survive?

Just play with it one night.
Battery life, can't comment yet.
Gaming, try Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5, Need For Speed No Limit, GT Racing 2, Real Racing 3, all are playable, but with a bit frame drop here and there, just a bit only, so is consider good.
Screen is yellowish compare to others, need to set the screen temperature to "Cool". The setting is available under "Display".
Need to update to latest MIUI 7.0.12.0 version, as the default pre-installed MIUI 7 is quite laggy.
It is a true dual sim phone, with dedicated 2 sim slot, and a dedicated Micro SD slot.
Camera is not the best, simply cannot compare to high end phone. The picture taken is quite soft, lost many detail. I zoom in the image, and saw actually the image is very blur.

just got my note 2 prime - seems great for the price, be aware that google services are blocked in china so the phone ships without any google stuff (google app store etc) - these services and apps can all be manually downloaded and installed along with a launcher and keyboard app that isnt in chinese half the time and yes the battery life is poor. Camera is great, phone performance is great, for me it was a good buy

Awesome look, brilliant camera and no lags so far. overall performance is very very good. its is powered by 3000mAH powerful battery. I am not a active gamer but i use 2 sims and active internet connection 24X7 and the use of internet (3G) is also so much. As it is a new phone so the audio and video use is also very much. But after doing all these i only have to charge my battery only once per 24 hours. So in my opinion it is a great Phone you can go for it, but i didn't used note prime so i cant tell you about the same.

This phone battery life is so awful.It drains 20% per 8 min when using internet and playing games.
I am using MIUI 7, China stable rom.
But no difference whether you use global rom, too.
GSM arena stated that battery last 47hours.
But beleive me, you should end up with charging twice or trice per day.
Don't buy this phone.

Which one should I buy Redmi note 2 or zenfone 2 laser ze550kl?
I am mostly concern about battery and performance. I am a heavy gamer so battery and performance are important for me. Which ever runs longer, takes lesser time to launch apps and lags lesser should be better. Please suggest only if you have used at least one of them.

i am using it for 2 days, and it's very good.
Battery live up to 1 day, with 5h screen time (connect wifi only) and its up to your setting.
Antutu about 53000
no lagging, beautiful camera (my girl like it)
