After mm update which I got last week, I formatted after coz it had problem in music player. But now battery backup is poor and phone is hheatin Too much. SShould I install the uupdate again?

Mine too, updated to Marshmallow. But Kernel version remains the same 3.10 of the lollipop !!.
Is there any relation between android version and linux kernel version ???

screen is crappy. has no protection at all it cracked like hell after being dropped to just 6-10 inches high. i thought it was sporting Gorilla glass

Redmi note 3 after updating marshmallow,,whether I will get any difficulty in storage or not??it will be reduced much or little bit?? Because in my last phone I updated and I was not able to use more than 3app!!

Finally, the original Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm break the usual Xiaomi habit of not upgrading Redmi series phone's Android OS version.
This phone get upgraded from Android 5.1.1 to Android 6.0.1, now on par with other Xiaomi's Mi series phone.
Considered is the best budget phone you can get at this low price.It is only slightly beat by it's own upgrade, Redmi Note 4 with Helio X20 processor, with 64GB storage option.

Updated my RN3 to Marshmallow, Iam using Google Now launcher as i dont want the apps to be in my home screen, Untill the my device was in Lollipop the default icons of MI was working, After updating to MM, the default icons of MI has changed when using Google now launcher and this looks tidy. Any way on how to bring back the MI's stock appilcation Icon while using Google ow launcher in the MM update? Please share your views! TIA
