Good luck with that dreams, after Redmi Note 5 launch yet your Redmi Note 4 will totally abandon by Xiaomi. Midranger like RN3 and RN4 only get 1 major android version update and RN4 already get it from android Marsmallow to Nougat so dont dreaming to get Oreo like RN3 to get Nougat. SD650 is much better on performance compare SD625 because it has 2 Cortex A72 core and 4 Cortex A53 not like SD625 only rely on 8 Cortex A53. The SD625 is only good on battery efficiency because it using 14nm not 16nm fabrication if SD650 also built on this type of fabrication it also will become battery efficiency like SD625 but SD650 is built on 28nm so it cannot compete with SD625 on this sector. Not only RN4 gets the MIUI 9 update but RN3 and even Mi2 also will get it and this MIUI9 is only an android skin nothing to be proud with it.

I also not upgrade to Redmi Note 4 because... moreI also said the same thing about upgrading from my RN3 to RN4 but now that I have done it I'm so glad, it's the best thing ever. The RN4 is miles better even though the RN3's processor is a bit stronger. That RN4 SD625 with 16NM is an absolute beast for a mid range phone, it is snappy saves almost twice the battery life then the SD 650 on the RN3. The design on the RN4 is way better then RN3 and the display crispness is amazing then of the RN3's plus the camera is way better on the RN4 the sound is still better though on RN3 and I just got Android 7.0 Nougat with MIUI9 immediately after activating the RN4 which cannot be said for the RN3 and will probably get Android 8.0 Oreo. But the catch though is my RN3 is not going anywhere.

Dude my rn3 is one & half years old and working fine.Accidentally my original adapter was damaged due to over voltage and I bought the new one from mi store.But unfortunately my rn3 is changing in half the time as compared to previous and it drains rapidly.I replace it again but the problem persists!What can I do now.Please suggest.May it be the usb cable?

I also not upgrade to Redmi Note 4 because is not the worthy successor of Redmi Note 3 and according to new teasing of Redmi Note 5 the speculated specs also not par with RN3. I hope Xiaomi listen to us and our wish will come true.

I've had the Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon Variant. Served me well for over an year. I loved the feature rich MIUI 8. Everything was excellent, be it performance, battery backup or the fast and accurate fingerprint sensor. Never had any lagging or hanging issue and luckily, the hardware never gave up on my rough usage. Camera quality was above average. The RN3 used to get slightly warm, maybe due to the 28nm fabricated Snapdragon 650. With Snapdragon 660 processor, a performance beast and also power efficient, it will be the only worthy successor to the Redmi Note 3. I didn't update to the Redmi Note 4 because it wasn't a significant update to the Redmi Note 3. Hope Xiaomi will release the Redmi Note 3 Ultra with the specs you've mentioned.

Check it by opening security app > battery> battery use > clock symbol on top right. If awake then kill all apps and reboot ur phone. If it doesn't help wait for next update

I think if Xiaomi reintroduce Redmi Note 3 with upgrading specs it maybe become a new bestselling phone for Xiaomi. The upgades may include a new chipset like SD660, increasing RAM to 6 or 8 GB, increasing internal memory to 128 or 256 GB, dedicated micro sd slot with massive storage , 18:9 display, Nougat or Oreo android, oled or amoled screen, upgrade the camera and name it Redmi Note 3 Ultra. Yes upgrading the specs means increasing the cost and the price also need to be increase, but I believe it will be sell like a hot cup cake.

Swaraj , 19 Nov 2017No bro, it hasn't got any Miui 9 updateIf you watch MIUI 9 and Redmi Y1 video launch you will see the list of Xiaomi phone that will get MIUI 9 update and will know Redmi Note 3 is included. But either Redmi Note 3 will get Nougat update are still in question. MIUI 9 and Nougat update are two different matter.
