Okay, seems Activity Launcher no longer works for disabling apps on 8.5, and i've already got the Samsung Browser installed............
No matter, will wait for an update and try again later on.

Literally just got the 8.5 update, just about 10 minutes ago, so far so good, haven't seen any new changes other than some sort of browser that I didn't have before, in the process of disabling it now, will keep posting updates.......

You have what you get. I have this device since one year and I can say that is just worth the money you spend on it. I am quite stressed with it, it has a lot of problems, proximity sensor, camera, video player and recorder, aptic feedback, phone functions (!!)
I am not sure if my feedbacks reach them but I don't even imagine how can they think people with problems like this would like to buy another Xiaomi... NO WAY!!!
After the last update (MIUI 9 Global 7.9.15) it even don't allow me to unblock manually the device if it has some proximity sensor issue.
Little money (it was very cheap, that's true) for a very little phone.

I just suggest you if you are using non touchscreen hardware, always better to go for Windows 7.
Windows 10 has upgraded version and features but UI is not user friendly for a traditional desktop.

If you're facing the issue persistently than it might be a software bug. Xiaomi is pushing out poisonous MIUI updates to Redmi Note 3 which only brings more software bugs than enchantments, so that users will grow frustrated and buy a new phone belonging to their company. Xiaomi wants us to buy a new phone from their product portfolio. I'm currently on MIUI V8.5.3.0 and I don't face the same issue as you but the Music Player & USB OTG is quite buggy on this version..
MIUI V8.2.4.0 was the last good software update (95% stable) and I wanted to downgrade to it but unfortunately, I couldn't execute the process of downgrading to MIUI V8.2.4.0 due to not running a latest OS (Windows 10). So guys, if you're running a stable version with less bugs, be careful before updating to a new software update..

My Samsung Galaxy On8 which I bought for the same price as my Redmi Note 3 got the Android Nougat update a few days ago.. And yet, Xiaomi isn't even bothered to give Nougat to their best selling Note 3. Damn this company.

I have noticed considerable lag in my phone today while doing multi tasking ( switching between apps, downloading and chat heads.). Is it because of the recent update 8.5.6.0 or due to ram management in my phone??

Hello GSMArena why Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is not included in the Top 10 By Fans charts even it has 1722 fans and should be in number 2 slot in that chart after Oneplus 3 which has 1746 fans.

To. Say bout mine I'm actually very happy with it, and I'm a Samsung brand user, maybe not any more, jus don't get the shot model haaaaaaaa

There is high possibilities Redmi Note 3 will not getting Android 7 Nougat officially from Xiaomi. The list which Xiaomi phone will get Nougat already roll out by Xiaomi and sadly to say Redmi Note 3 are not included.
