Bought redmi note 3, two weeks ago. It works great. It has awesome features and everything is good. I heard little something about the heating issue. Well it uses fast charger so yea obviously while charging it might heat up a little but it cools down quickly too. Fingerprint sensor working great. Infrared sensor also working cool. But there is no infrared receiver so u can't configure your own remote like u can do in le1s, but redmi note 3 is much much more better than le1s. The camera quality is also good and battery life time is amazing. I play a lot of games and use for more than half of the time, still my battery is not draining. Now just waiting for the miui 8 update for it.

My point was, Xiaomi will never invest money to provide android update for low cost phones, they would prefer to invest that money to launch new phones with latest android.

But miui is a skin that doesn't resemble to android and it's very customized so even with mm you will not feel the difference.
