AnonD-575045, 22 Aug 2016I mean redmi 3 pro not redmi pro Redmi pro not realease ye... moreYou might think that buying an octacore is better than quad core or a deca core is better than both but that's not always the case. There are multiple factors that dictate efficiency of those 8 cores. It depends on CPU frequency, software designed to take advantage of all the 8 cores and the Chip's design and architecture itself. The biggest culprit is usually software. Mobile games are often optimized to make use of multiple cores to deliver better performance. However more importantly that's not the case with all applications. In fact most apps are developed to use 1 or 2 cores at most. However the processor still activates all cores and the other elements of the chip and thus your battery will be affected. The processor might look like a small chip but there's a lot of circuitry involved. The design of the processor has a large impact on its performance. All cores running simultaneously is marketed but that's not true, that is why some manufacturers advertises true octa cores which is when all 8 cores are running. However the funny thing is that no application at the time of writing is coded to take advantage of all 8 cores of that kind of power. Infact, even the latest android games runs fine on quad core, provided it is backed by a capable gpu. Apart from the number of cores, the core itself can be different. This is best illustrated with ARM’s Cortex-A series of processors, which is the most widely used series around. The Cortex-A series has the following processors in its family, from most powerful to least powerful: A72, A57, A53, A17, A15, A9, A7, A5. So the biggest takeaway here is not to look at terms like “quad-core” and “octa-core” to decide the best processor for you. Instead, overall device performance is what mattersSimple numbers are easier to promote, and the customer is duped into caring about these numbers when they have minimal real-world effect on the performance of the device.

ace, 22 Aug 2016xiaomi redmi pro or xiaomi redmi note 3? T_T im confuseRedmi pro rips through rn3 clean without a sweat with its shear raw performance. However if flashing is your thing then, would love rn3 since snapdragon supports larger community of nerds working to give you the power for you to play around with your thing(gets bricked sometimes but it's all part of the charm). When push come to shove, rn3 isn't as edgy as redmi pro(there's a reason they named it pro) but it doed gets most of the part right with its disappointing low light shots shying away from bringing out better photos). Yup the choice is yours! Make the wrong pick and prepare yourself to tour into various sites looking for answers which seem to justify your mistake and encourage you to do the same mistake again! Peace
