DragonFIRE, 16 May 2017In short throw your smartphone and buy a feature phone..Just an idea bro but its works and still get update for apps. What good we get when having a 4000 mAh battery phone but only last for 6-8 hours and need to carry 20000 mAh powerbank for a daily usage. The problem with MIUI is having too much apps background activity that consume so much of the phone battery.

        Some ideas how to reduce battery drains problem after updating MIUI :
        1. Do a factory reset after updates.
        2. Go to setting - Developer options - Memory optimization - set low (default set is middle)
        3. Go to setting - Developer options - Background proses limit - set No background proses
        (default set is standard limit)
        4. Go to setting - Simcard&Mobile network - set data plan - turn off Allow background data
        5. Go to setting - Battery - Power - Turn on battery saver.
        6. Go to setting - Battery - Manage app battery usage - Choose apps - all apps either
        installed and system apps set restricts background activity.
        7. Tweak doze setting - install Greenify apps from Play Store - go to its setting - enable
        Aggressive Doze and enable Doze on the go (if your phone not rooted also can but need
        to follows its guide. You must connected your phone with pc and go to command promt
        or cmd in order to enable Doze on the go function on your phone)

Every update has some kind of bugs but after having used MIUI, stock Android user interface feels too boring to me. Xiaomi should test their software updates intensively to iron out bugs before making them publicly​ available. Updated to MIUI v8.2.3.0 MHOMIDL and the battery drains really fast now. /:

              I love Xiaomi because they make a good phone with a nice price but at a same time I hate Xiaomi because of MIUI, every time updating new MIUI rom must cause problems. Some of the problems are battery fast drain, phone become over heating, some functions like mics or VoLte might not work and etc. Xiaomi it is better U give us a stock or vanilla android than this crappy MIUI.

                    After updating at 8.2.3.0, the phone works well, but the battery is downloading very fast ... I hope to resolve the next update ...

                        Hello! I updated this morning at 8.2.3.0, it seems to me a successful update. The signal now is stable, I do not know the battery yet how it behaves. But everything seems OK!

                          Dude... I don't care about the battery drain issue...The phone is super fast now.. Excellent in ram management. Moreover the security patch has been updated to april 2017. Thats all i need... Excellent ram management and latest security patches... MIUI 8.2.3 rocks...Thankz Xiaomi

                              Any Review for update miui 8.2.3.0 ?
                              My Current miui is 8.1.1.0. and it is like i will never update to new ver.miui because of many issue happened after update.

                                There is a problem in network which disturb every hour and goes and there is also a problem in call drop like when we call a person then instead of connecting the call it shows 'call ended'.

                                      Hi Guys, I am facing issue with mic while on headphone. During call through headfone, the person at opposite end is not able to hear me. I am able to hear him. The issue is with build: 8.1.6.0(MHOMIDI). Has this problem resolved in latest 8.2 update ? Please help me..

                                      Note: I have already disabled "Google now" option.
                                      I used to hear when using MIUI 7.

Then go to developer options and setting low on ram optimization. If you like you can tweak doze setting by installing apps name Greenify ignored the hibernate just go to agressive doze setting and follow the instructions.
