When Note 3 was launched, I got it in the first sale and used for about a year before exchanging it for the Galaxy S7. A pretty good phone for its time. Snapdragon 650 was touted as a mid range performance champ at that time and due to poor heat dissipation function, it used to heat up. Snapdragon 650 was built on 28 nm process and what a long way the technology has come, these days most processors are built on 14nm or lower process. The best part was that MIUI didn't show ads at that time but nowadays MIUI is ads fest.

I bought the phone when it was released, after all this time I only had to change the battery recently.
Nice phone, I bought the Redmi Note 8 Pro, but still have the Note 3.

Works perfectly since Dec 2016, good phone that FAR exceeds its value, only the battery needs changing every 2-3 years. No complaints here.

TO START ANDROID ENTER YOUR PASSWORD [Solved]:
Last year the phone started asking for Android password during start up. In that case, there is no other way to turn it on than doing factory reset. Had to do it 4 times last year. Finally found out how to avoid this problem: when you do factory reset MIUI will start fresh installation, do not connect to wifi, finish installation, under Settings - System Apps - System app updater disable Auto updates. After that you can connect to internet. Your system apps won´t have latest updates, but you won´t have the above mentioned problem anymore.

I'm not experienced in changing phones but this is a great choice since 2016. I'd like to replace it though but honestly cannot find an important reason to do so. I use the 16/2GB SD650 global version, satisfied with recent aosp extended pie9 rom. Miui not my cup of tea, only kept it for a few months.
