I used 7.1.3.0 for long time, so i know about it.
And it's a feature, not bug because when phone is lying upside down or in pocket, phone can be accidentally unlocked by a single tap on fingerprint sensor. So to prevent it, phone senses hands or clothes covering it and does not unlock even when fingerprint is used

Good hardware, but the people behind MIUI and Xiaomi are retards. DO NOT Install update 7.2.5.0 LHOMIDA, it will likely disable 4G/LTE. Many people have reported this but I guess they don't give a shit. Also if you want to root, FORGET IT, it takes weeks to months to get permission (???). I guess Xiaomi missed the point behind Android. If I wanted permission for every time I touched my phone, I'd buy an iPhone...

The fingerprint sensor sometimes stops working... It was good before the updates, hope it gets fixed in the future updates..

There you will see a button stating restore encrypted files... Just hit that option and you're good to go

Anonymous, 15 May 2016I dont care if its called apple of china or grape of india.... moredude just because you found the phone not according to your liking ,it doesn't mean phone is shit.i have this phone for 2 months and i do lot of stuff with the phone except gaming ( i am not a gamer) i use this without using my laptop,from skyping to watching youtubes and lots of browsing and listening to music also occasional camera usage and the phone delivers no matter how many apps are running in the backgrund without lag
,try flagship phones if you really want a best phone,budget phones are not for everyone ,redmi note 3 is just cheaper alternative to flagship phones

If u had even slightest idea of MIUI, you wouldn't say that.
MIUI is damn smooth, infact i love it. Having used Cyanogen and MIUI both i can vouch for the fact that MIUI is much smoother than Cyanogen.
Cyanogen has better RAM management, but not the smoothness that is in MIUI,
