fzl, 06 May 2016iam confused iphone 5s or redmi note 3Iphone 5s - Smooth UI, iOS , works alright , decent camera , but ; small screen ( +ve for me) ,
Redmi note 3- Android , big screen , dont know about camera ( can update if you really wanna know ) , iOS like UI slapped on Android ( best of both worlds approach).
Both have fingerprint sensors , & performance should be same .
I own an Iphone 5s ( still smooth woth iOS 9.3.1) & will get a Redmi Note 3 tomorrow ( its in transit )

I reluctantly update my Redmi Note 3 to 7.2.5.0 (LHOMIDA), I don't think it's a big improvement over the previous firmware but finger touch (not fingerprint) selfie might come in handy. But the problem I face is that after keeping the phone idle for more than an hour I can't wake up my phone using the fingerprint sensor. I have to press the power button to turn the screen on and only then the fingerprint sensor works. This is a big PITA.
