If you see all the devices xiaomi has produced and check the reviews, you'll find a pattern.
1. There is a healthy chance of getting a defective product.
2. They all heat up during normal usage.
3. Battery drain during night.
4. Camera sucks.
5. Network issues.

Heating issues is because it supports fast charging! All phones in the world which support fast charging for faster 0-100 in about just 90 minutes or less, heat up while charging! Its normal because you are forcing more power into the phone to get charged faster! The technology is like that!

hello guys i was also facing same problem of not unlocking phone even after placing finger but after updating my phone from service center,the problem of over heating and unlocking has been resolved.i am know using miui 7.2.3.0 but earlier i was using 7.1.8.0,but don't do it by yourself get it done by service center only.

Also sometimes when there is a little bit of dust on fingers OR when there is a bit of moisture/wetness, fingerprint sensor doesn't work sometimes.
This all is normal. No need to worry.
Just make sure to not use phone very much while charging, also keep fingers clean before unlocking

Otherwise in usage this phone is cool. No heating issue at all

Hello guys pls help me actually i m facing heating issue when charging it. But after getting charged it doesn't heat up. And sometimes it didn't unlock my phone even after placing finger with a right position.
So is it common with all redmi note 3 users or i received a defected unit.
Pls reply as it is the last day of claiming replacement.

While using my phone in the dark... I've seen the light emerging out from the bottom end of the phone.... (really a little bit of light) should I replace the phone for that??
