Amy, 17 Apr 2016Xiaomi and lenovo are of the same standard average phones. ... moreI have noticed that xiaomi is much better than brand like lenovo, huawei, intex etc... I have kept a watch on my friend's xiaomi redmi 2 for about 1 year, it hardly has any problems... But I have seen two of lenovo phones having the problem... Yes, tiresome brands would be better however, but certainly not every low range brand is bad...

AK, 17 Apr 2016I bought this awesome mobile phone ( 16gb version ) yesterd... moreWe are getting update directly from 7.1.3.0 to 7.2.3.0. So we are getting Big update.
Those who have already updated to 7.1.8.0 are getting small update of 190mb because they already did big update.
So you will have to download this big update only

I bought this awesome mobile phone ( 16gb version ) yesterday. And I've received an updation of about 1021mb. But at the same time I saw some of the reviews that they received onl 190mb of updates. Can someone please tell what's the reason behind this huge updation

1st is to go to Settings > About > Tap on internal memory many times. YOU will get a menu from where you will find Phone Info 1 and Phone Info 2.
Select those and you will get option to turn radio ON/OFF. It will take time to turn radio On/Off. First turn them On and then Off. And finally turn them ON. When it shows turned ON.
Just switch off and switch on your phone.
Wait for few minutes after switching on the phone. You will probably get the network. It's not sure but you should try.
2nd option would be to update phone to latest firmware as you have been told.
If still issue is not resolved then you should ask for replacement.

Abhi D, 17 Apr 2016What is your firmware version ? And how long are you facing... moreI ve been using the phone for 4 days now, its brand new. Firmware is 7.1.3.0 Global. For first two days both sim were working with twice the network showing as "No Service" suddenly and it became normal after I removed the sim tray and inserted again. But from today mrng, the 2nd sim slot is completely not working, showing as "No Service". I have tried Factory reset, swapping sims, confirmed that the sim is not the issue since it works when inserted in another mobile. Xiaomi support in mi.com Chat have suggested to update to latest firmware and try again. So thats the final try and then I will be placing a request for replacement

people complaining about heating and camera being average, and after using this phone since 1 month,the things i've notice is the heating was there for first charge and first heavy usage but over time it disappeared,maybe due to updates or it's because it's normal thing for a new phone,currently when i charge it's slight warm and for the heavy usage it's almost like between cool and slight warm,so overall all there is no heating issue like some people are complaining
regarding camera i shot 4 k videos during daytime and nighttime ,took picture under artificial light with both front and back camera,the thing i notice is,you can't expect it to perform like a flagship camera ,it gives you good pictures and pretty good 4k videos but you need to process the videos if you want the perfect footage ,if you put little effort it takes good picture,while the front camera does the job for selfies and skype calls and casual video recording ,both cameras struggles under low light photography unless you have ota update to fix it ,that's the only place where i see it struggles in camera department

They have silly issues like network, camera and other problems which is not found on top brands. So top brands are always better quality though pricey.
