Pls let me know if fingerprint sensor is for both locking and unlocking this phone or only used for unlocking¿ as in my case I am not able to lock my phone using fingerprint sensor...

AnonD-103438, 05 Apr 2016No SD 617 is renamed as SD 650.you are confusing sd 616 with sd 650,which you will find in lennova k5plus and redmi 3 pro
anyway sd 650 was supposed to be sd 618 but they scrapped it and introduced sd 650 and sd 652 ,a whole new mid range processors
also you should be aware that,Sd615 series is octa core and sd 650 is hexacore

AnonD-507257, 05 Apr 2016?you should be aware that the phone is tested by lot of professional mobile experts and has been released in china almost 2 months back ,so what are you saying doesn't match up as many of redmi note 3 user didn't face these issues ,i am using redmi note 3 32gb one since 17 march ,the phone never hanged nor i faced any issues
and it's no brainer that you should access your fingerprint scanner with a clean finger ,if you feel the phone is defective,you can claim replacement or refund ,whichever is possible ,end of the story,
