After 2 years of usage and some drop to the floor, my Redmi Note 4 finaly gave up a litle and broke it screen.
I am currently looking for a replacement for the sole reason that the phone has 2 years of good daily usage and I believe that the batery or something else on the phone will not hold another year.That and because the repair cost is like half the price of a new Redmi note 7
I wanted nonetheless leave a comment to this awesome community regarding the Redmi Note 4.
It is / was an amazing smartphone. Even 2 years later the batery is still holding on for more than 1 day with regular usage and almost 2 days with low usage.
The CPU is fast and the phone is always quick to browse wathever we want, be that some internet pages, internet or local videos and even the charging of pictures that you have on your phone (and i have more than 1 000 just in a single album).
Honestly, this phone is amazing and the main reason that i want to stay with Xiaomi phones in the future.

Really good phone
Using it likely for 2 years already, got LCD screen replaced, bcs it's got flickering issues, may caused by rain or drizzle xD
But, I just want to sell it :' I want other people also know, that redmi note 4 absolutely nice phone :>

Very good ratio of price and specs. In few days it will be 2020. but this phone is up to date. Me as a young person, a student, this phone is everything I need. It is not slow, battery life is great and I never worried of memory because 4GB of RAM and 64 gigs of inside storage is more than enough for my music, games like pubg and cod, also files like pdf and word. What's not great is the quality build for which you will need a cover to protect the phone (I didn't have cover right away and learnt my lesson). Also the camera is straight rubbish, it isn't capable of taking of quality photo even in focus and with steady hands.
Overall very great budget device, stays very up to date, build quality could be better but still sturdy with cover. If you go cheap you get what you pay, but with this device you will not regret a single cent.

Turn the phone off and clean the insert the earbud and rotate for just 30 sec and after 2 min turn the phone on and see if the earphone symbol gone. If still there then try method 2 that is, insert and remove the pin into the earphone hole fast fast like 5-6 time. If still the symbol shows then try method 3 that is, when earphone connected, make an outgoing call, switch to loudspeaker and remove the earphone and see if the symbol gone.

i am not using xaiomi charger which is provided in box but using sony charger will that effect battery life of phone or damage the battery which is inside phone.

Then i purchased 2 items : 1.new adapter Mi India Standard Charger 5V 2A https://www.amazon.in/dp/B078GH9T1Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_h0Z6Db91NED4A and Anker Powerline A8133021 Micro USB Charging Cable - 6 Feet (1.8 Meters) - (White) https://www.amazon.in/dp/B012VZT5IO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_61Z6Db7HTPEF9. This adapter and cable are best as the combo will deliver max current to charge fast. Use Ampere app to check current flow. Also, turn the phone off and clean the usb slot of phone with toothbrush and petrol and after an hour turn it on so the petrol dry out completely. Now charge your phone using the adapter and usb cable i suggested and I'm not sponsoring those items. I used many usb cables and adapters and checked in ampere app and i found these best. My phone is almost 3 years old and with same battery and it's taking 2 hours to charge from 20% to 90% like the brand new phone. New phone charges in 2 to 2.5 hours from 0% to 100%. Also nether charge phone to 100% nor drain it to 0% its very unhealthy practice for battery. MTK is only good at draining you battery.

Seeb John, 05 Nov 2019This is not battery problem. you must be charging it with a... moreI got that problem on MIUI 10.after I changed to lineage and other custom ROMs non of the battery issues appeared.my brother says that he have same problem on redminote 7s with MIUI 10 my idea for everyone is to leave MIUI,for that old device because they will slow it down for you to buy another,and I bought it a month after it's release, it still function the same with lineage.
