Own this product a week ago.
Satisfied but some cons you need to know-
1. Rear camera is not good, portrait mode not working properly although front camera is nice.
2. Ram consumption is too high in 2gb ram varient on 700 - 900mb is available.
3. No headphones.

This mobile disappointed me alot. In just 2 days of buying the notification light is not working.

No intention of insulting.) As long as you are using Global ROM, you are quite safe. Also like you mentioned, you didn't even know what ROM is (honestly, I did not know at first as well.), but yet you managed to solved the problem by surfing around a bit.

I was using iPhone 6s Plus before and this game is shit in terms of connection. Even when I am outdoors. Do some search online and you will realise many people having same issue.

Every phone has Pros and Cons. When i first got my MI i was confuse because there is no Playstore and some app are in Chinese. But i ask around but i got a China set of MI with China Rom ( is my fault from buying it online) but i went online and and Flash the ROM to Global Rom (TBH I dont even know what Rom was until search and try to understand it) but I did it. When i use China Rom there is is alot of issue i faced. But after Flashing it to Global Rom those issue i faced is gone. Making a big fuss here will not solve any issue you have. Xiaomi is Budget Phone based phone, they make phone good spec with amazing price. My very first Mi phone is Redmi Note 1 and now i change to Redmi Note 4 I do not face any issue so far and i even accidentally drop my phone without any case or Tempered Glass and my drop was exactly face down the screen, and there is nothing wrong just some minor scuffing.
Making a big fuss here doesn't get you anywhere or solve any issue. There is no perfect phone, not even Samsung or iPhone. Maybe for some people they have found their perfect found that matches the need they are looking for. Based of the phone spec. I this phone spec is cheaper and worth to purchase than Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime. But it depends on your preference. Even Stock Android has Pros and Cons.

MI is best mobile brand if u want best camera,sound,touch screen n user interface. But if u want durable n reliable mobile then MI is worst brand of mobile.
Guys 20 collegeous purchased redmi 2, note 4, 3s n Prime all r happy with features. But there mobile didn't survive single fall on floor..my both redmi 2 screen cracked by 3 ft hight fall. MI should work on durability of mobile.

Hi everyone, have been using the phone for 1 month (global version) and here are my pros and cons at the moment, Pros:
Cheap, amazing battery life, no battery heating, good screen display, fingerprint works 95%, 4G all the time.
Cons:
Screen with no protection so can easily break.
Miui a bit buggy.
10% of the time people can hardly hear me, not sure it this is due to cell coverage.

Some people buy what we call as export set in Singapore. These export sets do not come with warranty as they are directly purchased by parallel importers. Just for your info, China has banned Google and thus they do not have Playstore pre-installed. If you want to go around venting your frustration on everybody, Dude just get a lower end iPhone. Works out of the box perfectly. You don't feel irritated and won't come here to bash people lol.
