If you respect the phone, the phone will respect you and will run long if you take good care. I recently sold my N82 I bought it 2010 and it was still working good.
It is completely upto user how good he takes care of his phone.
I researched around 2 months and shortlisted this Redmi Note 4 and I can say i dont have to look at other phone for atleast 4 years. I wanted a future proof phone which I think Redmi Note 4 is.

Rithvik satpathy, 05 Mar 2017Hey my friend, Athar... can u plz provide your likes and di... moreYes Rithvik I have the phone for a week but I hardly used it start using phone generally after rooting. I will surely post a detailed review once I'm done with rooting.
Till now overall experience is good. I have few complaints:
1. The front camera which is not good at all. My Micromax Canvas 4 was known for out of the world front camera better than Samsung A5, Yu Yureka, Yuphoria etc.
2. The default launcher is very bad and I have installed Lightning launcher (My favorite)
3. Themes are very good.
4. Finger print sensor doesn't work in one go 3 out of 10 times.
5. The doulbe tap to wake up screen will stop working if phone screen is off for like more than 4 hours. This happens 5 out of 10 times.
6. Infrared distance coverage is very good.
7. Haven't upgraded to the latest version 8.1.15 because users reported few issues got introduced. Still on 8.1.10.
If I rooted then I can flash recovery and then can backup the current version and then update the phone and if I do not like the update then I can go back to previous version. One of the benefits of rooting :)

Chee, 04 Mar 2017Sony usb bought from Amazon works really well,better than t... moreI dont know if it is the charger or cable that came with my Redmi Note 4, it takes 9-10 hours to charge. I have used Lenovo P1 charger and it charges fully in 2.5 hours.

Yogi, 04 Mar 2017Which color is best gold ya dark grey I love dark grey and I have one. Gold seems to be very girly in mans hand. Most importantly, Gold has white on front and Gold on back. White on front gives me feeling of holding western commode haha. That was my honest opinion. Grey looks very elegant and more premium with Black on Front, grey on back. There is display related advantage if the phone is black on front.

Earphone at right
IR blaster/sensor in middle
Secondary mic on Left.
I bought locally the kickstand cover which is made for Indian Varient at Rs. 150. Though I had to make a small cut as Secondary mic was partially covered. I also bought screen protector which is for 2.5 D and really at Rs. 150. The so called tempered glass are very cheap quality and fragile and bends easity. Yet they are advertised by a hammer photo hahaha.
After coming home from shop with applied cover and tempered glass, I accidentally dropped the phone and its a coincidence that the screen and the tempered did not break and saved by the Hardcover.
Holes in Indian variant are:
Earphone jack at right
Nothing in middle
Secondary mic and IR blaster / Sensor side by side at left.
I'm still not using my Redmi Note 4 as boot loader is not getting unlocked. I also received sms from the MiUi team that my request for unlocking bootloader is approved and they gave a link to download that Unlock software. I entered my credentials and the error message says, unable to verify your device. Very annoying.
Installed KingRoot with full hopes but the root strategy is still not availalbe. There are Redmi Note 4 is at 70th position in the queue for making root strategy available. KingRoot app displays message saying that 'Researching: Strategy is verifying, thanks for patient'. It was on 72nd position last week. I think it takes very long time to root this phone.
You too submit request for root via KingRoot app. There are total 47266 people/device root requests.
I like to use phone only after it is rooted as I can install that Titanium Backup app and make Redmi Note 4 exactly like the current phone like all apps with data are restored.

Mi Launcher sucks I agree everytime those annoying permissions.Give feedback to Redmi Guys via the preinstalled Feedback app.
Yes finger print sensor too sucks, it doesn't unlock screen in one go. However I prefer to wake screen up by double tapping on screen. Feels like I'm a boss knoking door and it opens.
There is a risky workaround on YouTube to make hybrid sim slots so you can use 2 Sim and One Memory card.

I bought redmi note 4 with 4gb ram and 64gb storage this phone is great nd nice features but during charging my charging adapter full heat up nd i scared it ll burn... can anyone tell me its normal or everyone getting this problem in redmi note 4 or its my phone problem??

No... moreIt can be due to the less ram available on your phone that kills all background apps and hence u dont get their notifications as the apps had been close... so try managing your ram efficiently if u had a smaller varient... It can be also the fault of miui trying to increasing battery life and performance as most of the times it does, being the reason for the customers complaints... in such cases u get the notifications only if u open the application...
