There are specific area where mi a1 is better from redmi note 4. For instances like it's dual camera, display and android upgrades. While redmi note 4 on the other hand, first of all, offers miui(depends on whether one likes it or not) personally i do like miui because of its rich features, tweaks and overall look of the skin. For me, vanilla android, on the mi a1 is bit plain and so-so. One particular area where redmi note 4 stands out is it's 4100mah battery compared to the 3080 mah on the mi a1. Apart from the above mentioned details, there isn't much difference between the two because both are powered by the same SOC i.e. snapdragon 625 backed up by 4GB of ram. So in performance, neither one is better than the other. So i think by now you know which one fits the criteria you're looking for in your smartphone.

I've drop it numerous times (with the silicon protector ofc 😂) and drop it into the water container once
Just rest it inside raw rice for a few hours and it's back to normal 😆

you must be in download mode (aka EDL) and not fastboot . check how-to on xda for fastboot-edl

only thing bad about this phone is durability. specs are top but when you drop it even just once, expect something to be broken.
