i bought redmi note 4 1,5 months ago and in 2 weeks i started experience call voice quality issues. i sent it to xiaomi service here in turkey and it returned with a message stating that it has no issues at all, checked thoroughly, etc. and you know what? the problem still continues and the call voice you hear is so obviously sizzled. so disappointed by this phone that i would never buy a xiaomi again :(

I had bought a Redmi Note 4 on the Redmi website along with it I also bought MI protect. Looking at the way it was advertised it felt like hassle free pick up and drop service at door step.
This week my screen got broken, when i called the service centre they said we don't service the insured products, they asked me to reach out to the website where I bought. When i reached out to Mi protect they said we will pick up the phone from you but will deliver the same after 15-20 days.
I asked them for a way out to see if they wanted to start the process of insurance with paper work and photo of the broken screen so that they collect the phone once the process is over and they can return the phone in a day or two.
She said this is process we need to follow this and there is no other way out.
When I requested to connect to the supervisor so that at least I can explain the inefficiency behind the process of insurance claim by keeping the customers phone for 15-20 days. they said we might not be able to connect you.
Then when I insisted that I need to speak to a supervisor she had put me on hold for few minutes and came back with an expected answer that the supervisor is not available.
I requested her to setup a call back from the supervisor for which she immediately replied that we can’t guaranty a call back, the intention was very clear we are not going to call you back !! if you want leave the phone with us for 15- 20 days and when we give it you use your phone.
In this time of a connected world do you see yourself without a phone for 15-20 days, just imagine stepping out to book a Uber or buy grocery, check your official email forget about the luxuries of Facebook or WhatsApp we are so dependent on a smart phone. Actually, the car insurers these days approve claim on video calls looking at the damages but Mi protect wants to keep the customer phone for 15-20 days just to approve the claim!!!!
I believe MI should find some efficient ways to service the customer than taking their own sweet time to return the phone…

Hi, I am using this handset, the 64 GB Indian variant, for more than 3 months now. It is an excellent one in all aspects except one. I am unable to activate personal hotspot in it. I am using MiUi 8.5.8.0 update with Android 7. Is it a global issue or just pertains to my handset?
