I have the 64Gb variant of this phone. Awesome. The battery, screen and build are very nice. If you have had issues with timers that don't show seconds, you have a solution here. High Intensity workout enthusiasts understand what I mean. I recommend this phone. It is also cost effective.

Harsh, 23 Dec 2016What is your opinion about mi note 3As far as i know, Mi Note 3 isn't out, and won't be out for atleast a year. I'll continue with the assumption that you meant Mi Note 2.

I think that Mi Note 2 is a great device. It looks nice and has killer specs. If you have money, go for it.

Sorry guys, i forgot to add this to my update to my impressions.

Camera: Yesterday i had a problem with it. I tried sending a pic with messenger, it said that camera isn't available and to check other apps that are using it. When i went into the camera app, it said that camera isn't available. After restarting the phone it's all well.

Browser: I had a problem with stock browser where it wouldn't recognize first few letters because i typed them "too fast" after clicking on the field for the site adress. Either way i was planning on switching to Mozilla and i did that. With Mozilla i don't have any problems. I'm guessing that's the problem with their browser, and i think that Xiaomi should look into that.

Handi, 23 Dec 2016Hi Silver Knight, I should say you did a great review about... moreLike i said, i don't really play many games. I only have 3 installed, most of the apps are for my area of studies

Now, i saw your comment today and at Uni i installed Asphalt 8 (i've since deleted it). I played through one level and it was decent. It felt somewhat slow, but that game is pretty heavy. I didn't notice any freezing. In games that i usually play, there's very little to no lag.

As for lag in apps, it's mostly in messenger, especially since this new update. But, keep in my that messenger runs pretty bad on most phones.

Like i said, the biggest con that you might have with this phone is its ram management. Usually after 5-6 apps it needs to reload them again.

AnonD-623756, 23 Dec 2016Thanks silver, youre the reason we all here for opinion. if... morePurely by the numbers, Note 4 is better. But if i could have, i'd have gone with Note 3 Pro. Not that i'm unhappy with my purchase, i'm extremely happy with it. As you've read in my "review", i wanted to get Note 3 Pro for a long time, but i couldn't find it here, so i went with the pricier Note 4.

The main selling point for Note 3 Pro for me is SD 650. Qualcomm is known for how "stable" their CPU's are. By stable i mean that they have great power/performance ratio. Also, Qualcomm releases base code for their CPU's, so there's plethora of ROMs for phones with their CPU (this was especially important for me because i planned on putting CM on it in around 2 years and gifting/selling it to a family member (most liekely gifting it to my father)).

Taking all that into account, i suggest you get Note 3 Pro. Also, it's cheaper.

Disclaimer: I never used (or saw) Note 3 Pro, so i don't know anything about it, but if Note 4 is anything to go by, it'll have great performance.

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2016Is it Normal for note 4 so hungry power,,,it made me curiou... moreI'd say it's normal. It uses MeadiaTek Helio X20, a very power hungry CPU.

My suggestion is that you switch to 3G, 4G consumes a lot of power. Also, there is a battery saving mode that may be able to help.

A small update for my impressions:

Battery life: I noticed that it got better after i turned off 4G, but it's still less than for 4000+ mAh that this phone has. Also, its stand-by time is astrocious. Today i came home with 48% of battery and 4:06 SOT, connected to the wi-fi and left it as it is. No it dropped to 39% and 4:20 SOT. I think that Xiaomi should adress this in an update.

Anyway, a question, does the lagging comes often when you use some certain applications of games?
Now I'm living in China, here in the online shops people bought this phone were telling that this phone gets a serious freezing when they play some heavy games. By seeing the spec of Redmi Note 4 I would say this phone should be able to carry heavy games without any hesitation. Was it possibly the problem from Helio X20? Never heard about this processor previously since it seems that this chip is newly marketed recently. I had a few research about this X20 and the technology looks legit enough.
Hope you could answer my question, thanks bud!
