TBH, if I have money, I'd ike to buy either Exynos 5433 or newer 7420-powered Android, since I'd had enough with Qualcomm's 'great in CPU, but sucks in GPU' mid-end chipset selling points.
Exynos 5433 is the 'first' 8core by Samsung which uses Cortex A57, a predecessor of Cortex A72, which is highly sought for their CPU performance 'at that time'.

AnonD-572269, 11 Sep 2016The only problem you found was the camera?did it lag at all... moreDude, tel me all the carrier lte region supported in ur country...
If u want a 'better' deals, go for the 'older' Exynos 5433 OR newer Exynos 7420-powered Android phones; those two chipsets powered by 4core Cortex A57 + 4core Cortex A53, added with Mali T760 MP6 (MP8 in 7420), it is a REALLY better options than SD 652/650 if u want overall GREAT performance on a phone in ur hand.

list of Exynos 5433-powered devices: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910C, SM-N910H, SM-N910U, SM-N910S, SM-N910K, SM-N910L, SM-N916S, SM-N916K, SM-N916L), Samsung Galaxy Note Edge (South Korea version), Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, Samsung Galaxy A8 DUOS (version A800F)

list of Exynos 7420-powered device: Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Meizu Pro 5.
For the cheap ones, Meizu pro 5 is VERY GOOD, but the LTE regional is mostly Iimited to Asian countries (LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 38(2600), 39(1900), 40(2300), 41(2500)). BTW Meizu camera performance is VERY GREAT
Another options is Samsung Galaxy Note 4 OR Samsung Galaxy A8 DUOS (A800F version). Since it is a year old phones, u might get a good deal, worth ur money than SD652/650-powered phones

redmi note 3 better, 11 Sep 2016redmi note 4 lag for heavy game. redmi note 3 is better. i... moreLOL, i know that u are one of those MediaTek haters which NEVER uses one, but CAN & CERTAIN than MediaTek Helio chipsets are sucks. FYI, MediaTek is WAYYYY better in gaming and have LOWER LAG when u compare it with Adreno 510-powered Android phone, such as Redmi Note 3 pro OR Mi Max, which currently I used.
Since Moving to ARMv8 & 64-bit, Mediatek is becoming BETTER & BETTER every time they makes 'flagship' mid-end chipsets, adding it with better GPU than what u could get from their price tag, which is VERY GOOD news for us customers.

Example, MT6752 vs. SD615/616/617; the winner in both CPU &GPU performance is MediaTek since MT6752 uses8core Cortex A53 all clocked at 1.7GHz, supported with 2014 ARM flagship GPU Mali T760
Next, Helio X10 (MT6795) vs. SD625; the winner is SD, BUT only because of its newer fabrication (expensive 14nm SD625 vs. cheap 28nm Helio X10), their next-gen GPU Adreno 506 (a 'next' version of Adreno 405 with a litte upgrade), SD support of Quick Charge 3.0, AND, the most important ones, is 2 YEARS GAP between both chipsets; this shows how 'pathetic' Qualcomm is when it comes to 'optimizing' Cortex A53 full potential, while still 'insist' on giving 'weak' version of their flaghip GPU solutions (SD820 uses Adreno 530, powerful on both CPU & GPU performance; SD652/650 uses Adreno 510, a '40% off' version of Adreno 530, means the CPU performance is GOOD, but GPU performance is SUCKS, as Mali T880 in Helio X20 beaten it in EVERY GPU benchmark tests (not AnTuTu's nonsensical score, but ones with credibility like gfxbench, etc); then they 'futher' reduced Adreno 510 performance to achieved Adreno 506 'desired' performance, which is NO BETTER than what Adreno 405 can offers)

So,, the verdict is, u have few screws loose on you head if u still insist on blabbing about the 'lag' for heavy games in Helio x20, while SD652/650 gaming performance when handling heavy games is NO BETTER!

Anonymous, 10 Sep 2016sd 625. 14 nm architech structure with adequate powerXiaomi must be CRAZY if they REALLY opt for SD625 for their Redmi Note 4 SD version. WHY must they DOWNGRADE the chipsets for their next devices after they go ALL THE WAY using SD650 & SD652 in their previous Redmi Note 3 Pro & Mi Max? The most logical possibility is going to use the same SD650 OR UPGRADE it to SD652, so people who don't like the MAMMOTH screen size of Mi Max could get Redmi Note 4 SD version.

Another options (most likely just a pipe dream) is using Exynos chipset. Since the ONLY Exynos chipsets that have GREAT GPU are their flagship ones, for Redmi Note series, I would love it if they use the old Exynos 5433, OR the more recent Exynos 7420. Both of this chipsets are outdated, BUT they really worth the money if Xiaomi can get it for cheap.

The main point is, people who bought Xiaomi's Redmi Note series MOSTLY don't care about whether the chipsets are a little outdated, or the benchmark score. What they want is the performance of the device they bought with heir hard-earned money worth the money

AnonD-572269, 10 Sep 2016whats your opinion about the cameras? Are good enough for th... moreu asked about comparing Redmi Note 4 vs. P9 Lite? O, come on, dude, u can see ALL the specs of both of them on this site & easily tells which one is better...

                            Redmi Note 4:
-) Using Helio X20 chipset; 10core (2core Cortex A72 + 8core Cortex A53) with GPU Mali T880 mp4 (means 4core), means, Redmi note 4 have both the MOST POWERFUL CPU & GPU combi u could ever asked for cheap (SD650/652, Kirin 950, or Exynos chipsets are using this Cortex A72 + Cortex A53 combi too, but priced WAYYY higher)
-) 5.5inch 1080p screen, the optimal screen size u can still use with one hand
                            -) have gyro sensors,
-) have wide LTE regions for Asian markets,
-) the 3gb options comes with 64GB ROM,
-) support newer WiFi version, and support dual band WiFi (2.4 & 5 GHz), means u can use ALL types of WiFi
-) support newer Bluetooth v4.2, means u can get to transfer files FASTER
-) support ALL types of GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS)
                            -) USB OTG support
-) support InfraRed, and have IR blaster that can be used as remote for various devices,
-) starting Helio X20, MediaTek have added Fast Charging ability in their Helio chipsets
-) starting Helio X20, MediaTek have added support for HEVC (H265) encoding,
-) Xiaomi can play MOST KNOWN TYPES OF VIDEO & AUDIO FORMATS by default (without any external video player apps)
-) HIGH POSSIBILITY for getting new Android updates, as MIUI have BIG community all over the world & possibility to FLASH any other Android ROM into it, even the Stock ones like Nexus,
-) camera features PDAF & Dual Tone LED flash, the features that only available for EXPENSIVE Android phones,
                            -) and a BIG 4100mAH li-po battery
-) OFC, the most important thing about Xiaomi REDMI NOTE series is: it comes with GREAT specs and GREAT price tag!

So, ALL of the PLUS of Redmi Note 4 I've written above are ALL the MINUS u could get when u bought P9 Lite, although P9 Lite too, have its PLUS too, but only SEVERAL:
-) Have many version which support not only Asian, but also US & EU LTE regions
-) Are lighter & slimmer than Redmi Note 4, BUT with LOWER Battery capacity (only 3000mAh) & SMALLER Screen Size (5.2inch)
-) Have BETTER sensor size & pixel size rear camera, & BETTER front camera (8MP)
-) NFC support, though limited (L31, L21 only)
                            That's All!

So, after all said and done, are u STILL going for the more expensive p9 lite with LTE support for Asian, US & EU, OR going for the cheaper Redmi Note 4 BUT support mostly Asian LTE support?
Another possible choice for u is Redmi Note 3 PRO with SD650 that only costs US$125 for 2GB RAM/16 GB ROM options (US$159 for 3GB RAM/32 GB ROM options), OR Mi Max with SD650 that costs US$227 for 3GB RAM/32 GB ROM options.
