Just google it how to do so...
Only 1mb++ file size should to download and just about a second to get rooted ... ;)

Get the apk from a phone that works since you week need keyboard on the Redmi to even access Play. Let me know if you need help.

erry, 01 Nov 2014i also facing the same problem...unable to get the keyboard... moreIt's very stupid but an easy fix. Basically your Redmi Note came without a keyboard so installed. You need to go on a phone that works and download Google Keyboard apk. Transfer that apk file onto the Redmi Note by memory card or Bluetooth then install it. My Redmi Note came without a keyboard app installed also. Very lazy quality control got sure. Reilly back of you need help.

Xiaomi made USD4 billion recently, next year maybe USD14 billion, Sony is still losing money all this years and Nokia smartphone is gone. How things change within 3 years.

It will work but only as a 2G GSM phone.

I have just collected my Xiami Redmi Note 4G I bought through mydeal and discovered that I cannot use the front facing camera. I tried to use it with another camera application but the problem persists.
Also, the keyboard does not show when I tried to type on the Search widget.
Does anybody have any of these problems?
I notice that the battery runs out pretty fast, too.

1 bug i found on this device.When i want to turn off my WiFi hotspot,this phone will reboot itself.Is anyone face this prob?.I hope xiaomi will fix this bug.I already report it using xiaomi report bug app.

It last 2 days with moderate use but drain fast ehen plsy games.Experience is buttery smooth with 2GB RAM n Qualcomm snapdragon cpu+gpu.Camera is good n sharp but i think u may need 3rd party one like google camera, camera360 n others.If u wanna buy,also spend for it sreen protector n it protector for maximun armor
