According to http://www.mi.com/my/note4g/#param, the Redmi Note 4G sold in Malaysia will support local networks:
4G FDD-LTE
Band 1 (2100 MHz)
Band 2 (1900 MHz)
Band 3 (1800 MHz)
Band 4 (AWS)
Band 7 (2600 MHz)
Different story if you buy AP. Depends on where the AP importer source from. Best if you bring SIM card to shop and tell them you will only pay once the phone shows 4G in the signal bar.

I live in Malaysia n buy this redmi note 4G LTE TDD(ap set). Idk what happen but i can say that i can use 4G network. At the box it say 4G TDD not FDD

Telcel Mexico use AWS 4G band from 1710-2110 MHz and I see that the XIAOMI hongmi note did not work in this band. The next question is if I can modify de band of operation in the phone like the chinese one´s that use MEDIATEK core, because I see that is possible and if some one can tell me how to do it I really apreciate this, thanks for all.
