All the Xiaomi budget phones are copycats of Redmi Note 3. With some changes here and there. Redmi Note 3 has hit the sweet spot few years back. Optimum price to performance ratio.

Charging takes place at QuickCharge 1.0 speeds. This is the normal charging speeds we are now used to these days. Currently Qualcomm is working on QuickCharge 4. Overall the time taken to charge from 0-100% is about 2 hrs and 30 mins.

Fast enough device, cameras are ok, display and touch as well. For around 200usd it is the best device you can get.

In terms of design on the back, RN4X is slightly different from MediaTek RN4, both have metal body on the back but RN4X has plastic on top and bottom but it still looks great and nice.
The placement of infrared, ear piece speaker on the front, camera and sensor are different if compare to MediaTek RN4.
Battery life is great, it last 2 days for normal usage, 1 day for aggresive user who play high-end games and social media, where it depends if you are using Internet Data, WIFI and GPS. Don't compare your battery life with nokia 3310 please. If you have battery problem, try turn off those games or apps that running in background, or restart your phone.
go search online for the MIUI 8 and you can find some useful tips on this UI.
Overall this phone is great, recomended if you have this budget.
Try to find a device with Snapdragon 625 and selling with this price.

Anonymous, 11 Mar 2017Snapdragon mostly will always be better than Mediatek.The Snapdragon based choose is made using a newer process that theoretically provides better Power efficiency (which equals to better battery life). It does have 2 lesser cores than the Mediatek version based Redmi Note 4.
Benchmarks show that the Snapdragon performs better but by a small margin.

I've been back and forth trying to decide between this phone the redmi note 4x and Lenovo Zuk 2, I was about to get the 4x until I heard a few reviews saying the camera on the device is a drawback, is that really true. I like the Zuk 2 but it doesn't have NFC which the 4x does. Can anyone who has used the phone be able to give me their opinion on this matter. I currently use a HTC m8.
