After that, sing up on Play Store with your Google Acccount and download other Google apps You need.
This is the easiest way to use Google Apps on Your Xiaomi.
Other way is to unlock Your device following this link ( https://en.miui.com/unlock/).
First of all, create Your MIUI account on the phone and connect it to PC with installed Xiaomi ADB drivers via USB cable.
You must apply for unlock and wait 72 hours, after that You can install MIUI Global ROM with all Google Apps and without Chinese rubbish.

1 year with this phone. Virtually flawless performance. Upgraded to Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera only for the better camera. Still prefer the 4x for daily use and fantastic battery life.

I've had this particular phone for almost a year and have NEVER experienced any of the issues you mentioned. You either have a FAKE phone or you're just a 'Kill Joy'. This phone has been acclaimed to be a world class & i can attest to it because, i use it.

gabz, 25 Jul 2018lol .. you just have a fake phone. my note 4x works proper... moreso true. batt charges fast, never lags and durable!! been using it for 1 yr plus and didnt even have the urge to change the phone, changing it soon trying the S series.

its been 7months but it runs like s new phone.
dont trust all negative comments here, they are just oppo vivo sales promoter lol

Hi guys, just a word of caution for those interested in this phone. AVOID it at all costs....the network reception is really misbehaving and am completely unable to use WhatsApp. Am not a power user.....have installed only WhatsApp in the device. No games, no instagram, no Facebook......phone dialer, message and WhatsApp apps keep crashing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no success....am on MIUI 9.6.1.0

Been using the phone for one year
Pros...fast
Holds charge for a long time
Cons..network reception leaves a lot to be desired...in areas where my partners huawei G7 gets a strong 3G signal or 2 bars of LTE....the phone managed a weak 2 bar 3G
In the network, it doesn’t support band 20 for LTE
Software issues....sending message issues, proximity sensor has its moods, apps crashing am currently on MIUI 9.6.1.0
Am currently looking for a phone as the redmi note 4x fell and broke the screen. My priority is signal reception.....kindly offer your recommendations
