Here my share again about this beast. I've been using this phone since 2018. After 4 years, this beast still rocking. The only issue I have is the power button & volume buttons is no longer work (let me know if anyone want tricks to turned on and turn off this device without power button). Led notification also not work anymore. Phone very rarely hang a bit (almost not lag at all) due 3GB RAM and old device. Other than these, the battery life bit shorty for 4 years using. Still depends of how you use and care about this phone.
Other than all issue that I mentioned above, no problem at all. Much better than my shit Redmi note 9 Helio garbage but camera. This phone also have dropped countless times to table or floor (accidentaly by my own fault), but only temoered glass cracked. Original screen no crack at all. But last years got hit really hard by my RC Slash and edge screen cracked because of that.
I would recommend anyone to buy this phone for 2nd in use phone. But as for me, it is time to say goodbye. This RM670 ($170) phone have serve me very good, satisfied, and excellent experience for 4 years. It is time to put him on retirement.

Guys, need your opinion about Miui 12 update. Anybody have update your Reno 5 Ai? If yes, any bug or bad experience about it? My Reno 5AI is 3GB RAM, really scared to update since this might the last update for this phone. I dont think Xiaomi/Redmi will release any update if theres issue on this Miui12.
Also for those who done update, is there lockscreen button on Control Center? My phone have issue on power button and volume buttons. These button cannot useable.
Appreciate any respond for all of you. Thank you!

reset your mobile and recheck it

I got this two years an half and i can say, it serve me very well all these years. The only disappointment was the camera because the xiaomi's app freezed a lot but this problem was solved( some of it)... I recommend all the fellows redmi note 5 owners to switch to lineage os. It is super easy to use, you have the newest OS updates and more important is that is more lightweight than MIUI (My opinion MIUI is crap, I will never buy something with MIUI again).

Been using this phone for 2 years, 3 GB RAM variant. Still using MIUI 11 with POCO launcher and it runs smooth most of the time. I must admit that the RAM might be it's weakness and cause of freeze/lag sometimes. PUBG still playable at 30 fps and that's the only game I have on this phone since storage are limited. Camera quality haven't change since I open from the box, average HDR, bad during lowlight. Overall, I regret for not buying the 4 GB RAM variant because then maybe the performance are much better than what I have right now.

Nick, 01 Oct 2020No Android 10 for Note 5 AI. HAIZ.........There is now officiak lineageos17.1 based on android 10 and unofficial based on android 11.

This phone has serve me in the past 2 years, still using this for daily routine. Games and social media running smooth. Very dissappointed because no miui12 update yet.

I had this phone but the camera was broken and couldn't repaird because the motherboard is broken. I had it shorter then 2 years. I was very glad with this phone.
