For me global version(launched in China) redmi note 5 is the best budget phone right now! theres not much u can ask for as it has everything that we look for in a phone! reviews from actual first hand users confirm it. From screen quality, size, performance(gaming, multi-tasking), camera(both back and front -picture,video), features, battery life! All is above/at par with other brands on this price range. Xiaomi really did an amazing job this time. An all-around phone imho! just cant wait to have my own!

Finally, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is official in China. Of course, the selling points of the flagship are the full-screen display, Dual Rear AI camera, and SD 636 SoC. However, the greatest selling point and the true aspect worth of praising is Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Battery. Why? Let’s find out:
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Battery Analysis – Surprisingly Unexpected Battery Life on a Mid-High-End Flagship
On 15 March, Xiaomi Media senior engineer @ Xiaomi Zou master shared the performance of Redmi Note 5. As you can see in the graphs below, three days have been passed but the battery level has dropped down from 100% to 25% only. You can clearly see that the bright screen uses more than 11 hours. Thus, the 4000mAh battery timing is worth praising especially on 6GB RAM and a Full-HD+ display.
The credit goes to the ultra energy-efficient SD 636 which undergoes the 14nm technology process. It uses 8-core 260 Kyro architecture with Adreno 509 GPU. If we compared Snapdragon 630 with 636, CPU performance has increased by 40%, GPU performance has increased by 10%. Apart from this, we also see a drastic improvement in the battery life. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 supports a 5.99-inch (18:9) display with 2160×1080 resolution. It comes with 6GB Ram and 64GB of storage, a dual rear camera with AI technology and the front camera with AI beauty.

What about battery life here? Also does anyone have Note 5 global version (with english manual, letters on the box, eu charger without adapter etc). Is it better battry life on this model with SD 636 and Oreo 8.1 out of box, or on Redmi 5 Plus, similar phone with same battery in mah, but with Nougat preinstalled and old but gold SD625?
