It's been a while since my ai has been updated , last one was the pie... I'm still waiting for this update, they screwed up the battery drain and pubg mobile lagging on low settings, stuttering/ CPU throttling lagging in high temperature due to the pie update.they need to fix this.

Teddychuks , 18 Aug 2019Your not having battery issues and lte connection problem..…? No i do not have any issues at all that's why i am really surprised. I was prepared to face issues because of the comments posted. But my phone is blazing fast now and gets 2 day battery with medium usage.. Before i upgraded though i reset my phone to its original state wiping everything then i updated its Miui version. Maybe that's what helped me.

The lastest version upgrade 10.3.1 Oreo stable is amazingly good.Took away the device freezing issue i had and overall improves the phone's performance. I never thought that this would be a good update since you all said that the patch was terrible, but mine was awesome. I will stick to this version until there's a massive stable and reliable upgrade for redmi note 5.

No issues for now
Battery life is still good
Planning to upgrade don't know what phone yet

Good phone for its price. Screen on time close to 11 hours. Currently using Havoc mod by mr yacha. Quite stable, just a few bugs . Custom ROMs can keep this device alive for a long time.

Qwerty, 01 Jul 2019Redmi Note 5 AI does support OTG and RN7 is better...It had otg support from the very beginning. May be its just you who didnt had. Lol. I used it many times . Rn5ai.
However dont buy any Xiaomi products anymore. They just dont care about customers now. Only focus is to sell sell sell. Releasing new models too fast and not fixing old mobiles bugs or anything. They will just break your mobiles by pushing stable updates and force to buy there new. Too bad. The quality has gone
