Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 briefly appears on JD.com
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is still unofficial, but that might not last much longer. Online retailer JD.com briefly listed the phone – literally under wraps – suggesting that the launch his near.
The price of the phone is CNY 8,888, but that’s clearly a placeholder – 8 being a lucky number in Chinese culture. The actual prices will likely start from CNY 1,200.

The Redmi Note 5 is quite different from the Note 5A. It will have an 18:9 screen (1,080 x 2,160px) and dual cameras on the back. It could be powered by the capable Snapdragon 660 chipset to boot.
The page on JD.com has since been taken down and Xiaomi is yet to kick off a teaser campaign for the phone.

According to Qualcomm official website, SD 636 does support FHD+ 18:9 displays. So, if xiaomi wants to make the phone 18:9, 636 is their cheapest option. Obviously it wont give 660 at such lower price. And 630 only support up to 1920×1200. So...
