I'm using 6gb variant and video recording sucks.. photos are good but whenever i switch to video mode.. the screen becomes darker and it becomes bright when i switch photo mode.. is it only me or all facing the same issue?

I'm using RN5 Pro 6gb variant from 1 month.. Everything is awesome about the phone expect the video quality. Whenever i switch to video mode even whatsapp video call.. camera goes darker.. I'm irritated with this issue.. I don't understand why many not complaining about this problem. Is it only me or anyone else facing the same problem? I'm having a doubt that I got a defective piece interms of video recording. Please someone suggest me the help.

This RN5 pro should be nominated as the best 2018 middlerange phone based on performance/price.

Now we already at 4th month of 2018,
Until now no others brand can beat RN5 pro price.

Oppo F7 (helio p60) consider good but need add another $70 from this $200 , ...and the RN5 pro is hardly to be ignore.

Hey guys I just found out that there is finally going to be a full fledged PRE-ORDER on the 27th of this month at 12 o'clock on the mi.com website. That means Xiaomi is geared up with a LOT more units for its fans! HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!

And it t... moreWell anonymous, you might live in a place where usb c is readily available, but in India, some places in China and other places, we don't mind having a slower (not 'too slow') data transfer speed (we think its better to use wireless means) as compared to getting a new cable for a high cost. Anyways, almost everyone uses cheaper phones (basic phones to smartphones around Rs 15000 or about 200 euros) and no one gets a major upgrade even after a long time. So there are hardly any usb c options available here. Xiaomi is focused on India for its expansion of business and has thus retained the micro usb port.

Xiaomi are fooling their valuable customers.. Yes there was sale today at 12.00PM IST but the stock went sold out at 11.59PM itself in Flipkart, is that not called fooling??

Moreover we had buy option till 12.20 PM in the Mi.com, I tried to order at 12.00PM it kept me saying "PLEASE WAIT YOU'RE IN QUEUE" till 12.17PM and I got message sorry there is no stock, please try again in next sale... W.T.F their problem is? I had reputation on their brand name but not now, it because this RN5Proc flash sale cheat and one of our Redmi 4 After Sale Service experience..

Again the delivery time they mentioned was 3-4 weeks for delivering it in Bangalore , Crap!!

swetha, 13 Apr 2018we are not able to find in stores..:(you won't get it in stores for now ,i preordered mine today at 12 once they replaced flash sales with preorders on mi website ,shipping time is with in 30 days and no cod ,i stay in bangalore and they ship these phones from Bangalore, so 30 days is ridiculous,might be its under manufacturing process or they need to import

fahad, 12 Apr 2018yea i think u r right but m just hoping against hope if th... morethere were sold in black ,that's why they stopped cash on delivery ,note 5 is more profitable for xiaomi than pro version due to pro version having better and latest chipset sd636 ,so i guess they are just pushing in note 5 ,keeping the pro version stock minimal ,so people will opt for note 5 out of frustration of not getting pro ,they always do this kind of gimmicks in indian market ,its ridiculous that even after almost 2 months since it was launched they still cant provide note 5 pro

wqcr, 12 Apr 2018How do you rate the audio quality? Did you run a blind test... moreI have used Audio Quality testing softwares for the Assessment of Voice Quality & Speaker quality (both shows score more than SG S8+). Earphones rating was purely subjective (it always depend s upon preferences).
Charging time for 25% to 75% ~ 45 mins. (Pretty much constant).
No fella....this mobile is having a metal back. (Gorilla Glass is on front only).

About bezels...it has small but noticeable bezels...but then again as length of phone is good. So overall bezels look small.
One hand usage & handling is not a issue for me...as I have long hands...but yeah if you have smaller hands then it's not gonna be a pleasant task to use it single handedly. Overall grip is very good...coz it's width is small.....u can say pretty much like Galaxy S8+.
About gaming...4GB version has no issues in playing light games .....even high end games ran smoothly....but there's this occassional stuttering or frame drops like in NFS or Asphalt 8 & Riptide GP 2 (Racing games), but I was amazed by the performance of both the phones for Dead Trigger 2 & Modern Combat 5.
I saw no gaming issues so far in 6GB version. Not a single issue.
Bloatware is there but it's manageable. I deleted unwanted apps....n disable some.
No performance issues fella......I have installed about 60 different apps. Still no lag. Ram management is good with very less battery usage...even when you have a ton of background apps. (Thanks 2 LPDDR4X)
MIUI quality is average... there's a lot of gap to be filled. I am using a Pure Black honeybee theme with Enkaisho-W5 fonts & some Zooper widgets on 4GB ver...& other mob is having Batman Dark theme with Cinemarin-W3 fonts. Both have killer looks (both are black in colour).
Camera review....I will post it seperately.
In my opinion 4GB version is the best mobile you can get in this price. 6GB version is a little overpriced..I think, considering it has same Internal memory (64GB).
About glass backs....RN5 Pro doesn't have glass back...so it's not a issue here. Back is made of metal (Al) with top and bottom plastic molded parts mixed into metal frame. Front is having a Gorilla Glass.

actually right now I have two RMN4 - the question about microUSB was aimed to prove the same point - USB-C is not very common and I'd consider a ever-so-slight disadvantage because as you pointed out, there's lower chance that you'd stumble across a USB-C cable at your colleague's desk.
5V 2A is more than enough, I agree. In fact I'm charging my mido on 5V 0.5A, never going below 25% and above 75% in terms of charge percentage.
Aluminium unibody is an advantage too, because of much better heat dissipation compared to poor heat conductor such as glass.

However, I like the 16:9 ratio of my RMN4 and the fully programmable hardware buttons and the fact that all the bugs of the kernel source release have been rounded off.
Sure, RMN5 promises S636 and 6GB of RAM, but in day-to-day usage, its disadvantages would be more noticeable than a set of specs that looks better on paper.

Nevertheless, it's good to see RMN5 still rocking Nougat.
