Even samsung,sony,oppo,huawie cant beat this price.
I tried the new Galaxy A8+ = and its completely rippoff
from sammy for $440 price.
Sammy give such a weak performance phone for premium price.
Never again buy samsung product.

Hemphiz, 19 Feb 2018And what phone would you buy for around the same price range?Despite the cheap price tag, Xiaomi phone are unreliable, build quality problem, MIUI problem, antenna reception problem, GPS problem, after owning 2 Xiaomi I won't buy a 3rd one for sure.
BTW Huawei Honor 7X is better than this Redmi Note 5 pro, not forgetting Oppo F5 Youth.

W... moreno one know the exact date ,may be on middle of Q2, it will depend upon the sales in India. if it will be a huge rush it will delay the global release. there is another chance , it will come after Mi7 , Mi7 have global release. they know only India have midrange phones with maximum facility so they released pro first in India

best color for this phone is black, white bezzel color is boring(all other colors have white bezzels), front side of phone looks pretty good in black becz there is no distinguish between display and bezzel all are looks same when display off, people will wonder when you turn on the phone infront of them becz of its massive screen

Design not goo... moreIt has slow mo video lol. It has gorilla glass at the front. Design is good too. And it will get Oreo updates.
It has a better camera than Mi A1 (which is shitty omnivision sensor), Redmi Note 5 PRO has Sony IMX486 sensor, which is much better..
If they don't trick us by first selling good cameras with Sony sensor and then switching to cheaper Omnivision and Samsung (like they did with Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X), then camera will be alright. 4k video may be there with software updates (if Im right).
More than a half of your "against" lost their credibility.
Only thing I mind is no USB-C and 3.5 jack on bottom site. And big dimensions too.
And how do you know it won't support LTE 20? There will be a GLOBAL version which in my opinion will support LTE 20.
And one more "for" argument you can't beat: PRICE..
