For your information, ... moreYou are damn right about those idiots who are complaining abt lack of features, I mean seriously if you need all those features then go for S8 Note 8 or Sony XA 2 but then there is a huge price difference. Majority of people dont play heavy games most of them only use facebook insta whatsapp & all, thats it. Nobody gives a damn abt C type usb, people are still comfortable with old Usb type because u can always find the charger for that anywhere.

Battery timing & Wide selfie Camera is my main concern, Phone's look never bothers me
I mention these 4 phones because they all cost the same in my country

MIUI is having far more features than stock android. And what matters most is android security updates which xiaomi provides. It will get oreo for sure but when nobody knows. So for now nougat is not a deal breaker for me.
Yes usb type c should have been there but sadly it is not.
But if you look at overall package and compare it with xiaomi note 4. You get a better processor, better build, better rear camera, awesome front camera, good screen. I think these are enough upgrades from note 4 to note 5.
People here wants iphone or pixel phones in 14k and thats a sad reality.
So if you need a phone under 15k, there is no phone better than redmi note 5 pro.

Lets hope that the Qualcomm 636 will not become the next '625' that Xiaomi put in almost all of its non-flagship phones during 2017. Lets hope that it mid-range offers in 2018, will contain more than one cheapset but rather, several chipsets will be offered.

There's so much hate for this phone, it's only supposed to be better than it's predecessor... It's better than the note 4 in every other way! Mi A1 is not the competion... Plus you can't expect all the specs for Rs 13999!!!
I wish to buy it, but all the fans and tech experts have got me confused??? Please help me decide????

Anyway after using MiA1 for for few months, I don't find stock android as good as it's claimed, it's just a hype.

Cpu snap 636 with 4 or 6 G Ram is good score ( antutu : 105 until 107000) but unfortunately xiaomi for other specifications With this good CPU, it worked poorly . for example: 1- HiFi sound audio with stereo speaker Which could be added at a very low cost. 2- main camera with bigger megapixel and better Apature and larger pixel for dark places and Not having a 4K video with this processor and RAM is really weird . 3- usb type c could be added at very low cost. 4- With good snap636 why no Qc.3. 4-NFC that does not cost. In finally, i think with 5.99 inch display and full Hd plus resolation ,Screen brightness was better than this. For example : contrast 1:1300 and 550 nit ,because in compare with redmi note 4 and redmi 5 plus , screen brightness RN4 was better than Redmi 5 plus .

Redmi Note 5 pro is faster than 7x, it had almost all the apps in memory, asphalt 8 is the only exception ans it's not a big deal, most of the smartphones don't keep heavy apps in memory. plus 7x was launched in dec 17, 7x had enough time for improvement and note 5 pro launched 2 days ago, in time even note 5 pro's memory management will improve.
