Xiaomo would have sent out invitation to journalists if there is launch event in another week or two, from previous leak news Xiaomo actually cancel the plan to have Redmi Note 5 & Redmi 5+ is the replacement model, just like how Samsung A7 been replace with A8+, but there is an indication that Xiaomo may reverse the decision & launch Redmi Note 5 by Q2 this year, but that may take time to develop, so expect to reach consumers probably by Q3 this year.

Right now there was nothing about any Xiaomi event. Your resource are not creditable at all, before this you already said there were a Xiaomi event on 25 January in India but its proven not true.

Why are you all dream of phone that doesn't exist ? Xiaomi already says Redmi 5 plus is the replacement for Redmi Note 4, same like how Samsung replace A5 with A8 & A7 with A8+
Accept the fact & move on, you can buy other brand of you not happy with Redmi 5 plus, Xiaomi is not forcing you and India consumer, you all are free to buy any brand you like.
