The above link refers to the page where you can see what devices will receive Android Pistachio 9. The link you're referring to is a Mi forum, where a member is claiming the devices which might get Pistachio according to his knowledge. But nothing official about it, he's not a xc Xiaomi employee. According to my analysis and predictions, Note 5 Pro will never taste Pistachio. None of the Redmi devices got 2 OS upgrades till now, it's only Mi devices got them, you can check if you desire. Note 5 Pro will get only 1 OS upgrade, that's Oreo.

Krishna, 03 Aug 2018Will it get updated to Android PNo. Xiaomi Redmi phones gets only 1 OS upgrade, whereas Xiaomi Mi phones get 2 OS upgrades. So, as this Note 5 Pro launched with Nougat, it'll be upgraded to Oreo only, not any further.
