I think the announced 9.5 Oreo based update for indian region which was supposed to arrive on 29th June might have been suspended again ,this is just ridiculous as they keep rolling back announced updates since April

Abhi, 28 Jun 2018Is your phone rooted ? Any bugs ?Nope mine is Locked bootloader and unrooted... if you cant wait for OTA update you can download ROM .zip file manually and flash it using updater app..

so far no bugs.... now they have added portrait option for front camera(previously we used to click top centre icon for portrait but now open front camera and left slide can enable portrait option)
PictureInPicture mode is working (it is enabled by default)
                              Dual VoLTE also working

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2018No need to do that. smartPhones now are safe, if it reaches... moreIts not about being safe but having better battery life. If you keep that way, you avoid all the reasons that may degrade battery life.

Yes current tech prevents over charging, but still partial charge & patial discharge is good for battery. Keeping it overnight on charge wont over charge it, but tricking will keep battery temp higher, which is not good.
Its not a rule to go that way, 30-80, 20-90 etc cycle, but better for battery in long run. You are free to follow your cycle.

"A partial discharge reduces stress and prolongs battery life, so does a partial charge. Elevated temperature and high currents also affect cycle life."

So its not an issue. I have successfully removed all of bloatware this way, and freed around 300-400mb and some ram too.

(pre requisites: developer mode, usb debugging on; adb driver for device)

And charging 30 to 90 not really, as long as you don't let it go down the drain and never use it while charging then its battery is good.
