It' all about option, if you have 150$ then you have 170$, right (i hope so). Whan i don't get in Redmi Note 5 (Global version) is blue back (i my opinion it looks best), with black front panel. In Note 5 (combination with blue black is white, and thats looks not really good). Second, that notch, love it or hate it, it's on 99% midgange phones form 2018 (Samsung, Sony, dosen't have midragne phones, at least the good one from 2018 for 170$..) That's all about. Xiaomi wont bankrupt if You don't buy this phone (or any other), same goes for any other OEMs, it's all about choice, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is newer, have trendy screen (19:9), same battery, better cameras, blue back color with normaln black front), so that it. Don't get me wrong, even Redmi 5 (for 120$) is good phone, for that price, so you can always buy that if you look at 20$..

Simple we can use both jio sim in this phone at a time.

since its a mid range phone, I believe it would have come with face detection to make it standout from out mid range phone. Not impressed with the whole xiaomi stuff this days.

overlay, 12 Oct 2018On landscape, notch is automatically hidden, because of the... moreoh, that's really a relief. because I've never had experience using notch, I'm always worried that the notch will block the app screen. yeah it's better to appear black bars than to block the app screen. beforehand I planned to buy note5 but it suddenly released Note6, but notch made it uncomfortable, but if it's clear about notch, I'd better buy note6, bigger screen.

Ahmed, 12 Oct 2018I wonder if the box of the phone contain screen protector o... moreThere is no screen protector in the box, phone comes with screen protector (new), but there is writen some specification, on the back, one sticker, that's a case with all Xiaomi phones, no screen protector in the box or on the screen. In box you get, Charger, MIcro usb 2.0 (still), tpu case, some documentation (in english), and pin tray for sim card. (same as with note 5, Note 4, 5 Plus, Mi 8, Mi A2.... or any Xiaomi phone). But phone have CGG3 same as the Note 5, Redmi 5 Plus, even Redmi 5, with good oleophobic coating.

Fajri, 11 Oct 2018I'm interested in the hide notch feature, does hide notch w... moreOn landscape, notch is automatically hidden, because of the resolution, if you watch youtube, notch is hidden (even when you zoom YT), if you play games, also, only PubG mobile have full screen support on this (and similar) phones, but if you hide notch in settings, it remainds hiden on PubgM. Then again, it's a IPS screen, so when you hide notch you can see black bar, because its not OLED

AnonD-694886, 12 Oct 2018The back design is *ever* so slightly changed, and I don't ... moreI Just saying, there is a choices Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 AL (Pro for India), and Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Global version, and repet myself if someone have Note 5, in my opinion there is no reason to "upgrade" or "downgrade" because of notch thing.. this is not for all, especially when we have on market Note 5 without notch. But for New buyers, the one who dont have Note 5, but want good, cheap Xiaomi smartphone (With MIUI) there is a choice, ok now is priced like 20 $ more, but it's Xiaomi... for 20 days or less, price will be the same. Just look at their pricing now.. Redmi 5 Plus, and Note 5 is like 15-20 $ difference, but when was Note 5 new model, price was like 50-60$ difference.. :)

Unless you use social media, which I don't understand why, then I don't see the temptation to get RN6 when it's more expensive and on par, if not inferior in every way possible.
