Realme 5 has a poor resolution for such a big screen, slower charging, no USB-C port, no ir blaster and imo has a quiter loudspeaker, while the camera setup and bigger battery are a plus for the Realme phone for sure. The procesors are very similar and you wont see big difference between them outside synthetic benchmarks.
For me, however, having a 720p screen and no USB-C are a big no no for 2019 standards. Also as far as i know, Realme 5 is more expensive than Redmi note 7(even than the global Redmi note 7 with the 48 mpx camera unit).
All in all, the Redmi phone is a better option.

The Snapdragon 665 in RM 8 performs slightly better and more efficient compared to Snapdragon 660 in RM 7. Thanks to the 11nm processor size in 665 which allows it to consume less power.

I brought new redmi note 7s after 2 months use phone unpredictably shut down there is warranty of 6 month only charge rs.4000/-

I buy a new phone Xiaomi redmi note 7 only 18000/-. This phones good result only 2 month. Back camera and Battery life is very good. so I request for you that Note 7 buy and Life is best choice or first life.😍😘😊

hey guys can you differentiate the realme 5 and rn7? i'm planning to buy one. I heard that realme 5 is better cause it has better battery and camera while its benchmark scores were just lower for about 3k points so it doesn't really matter. can you convince me to buy rn7 cause they really rival on my thoughts on what to buy having the same price.

My suggestion is to do a little research on the internet and then decide by yourself.

Technically, what actually the difference between 48 mp of redmi note 7 and 48 mp of redmi note 8 sensors; on paper specification they exactly the same? I need some serious guidance from gsmarena team thoroughly.

USB type C is much better compared to micro USB due to much higher data transfer speed and even durability is high due to the symmetrical shape.
