I'm still using the same phone after 3 years. Just flashed with custom rom recently, it works like new phone. The stock rom indeed quite laggy, memory consuming, lots of bloatware and battery draining fast.

Its better to stay in stock OS rather than to update, please do not try to update to android 10 or any MIUI or you feel regret.

I owned rn7 since 2019, never had problems, only one gps sucks.. other than that is tip top still running smooth up to this day ..
