Franco, 15 May 2019Never had a single problem with total of 13 Nokia, Samsung ... moreI have got 2 Xiaomi phones in my fam. RN3 which is 3 yo and works perfectly fine save for the battery and RN4 which is a couple of months short of 2 yrs working as good as new. Never had any problem with the devices. Got a faulty RN 4 at delivery but Xiaomi exchanged it.

Anonymous, 15 May 2019Asus phones have better build quality than note 7 that's tr... moreI did compare. I saw drop tests where Realme 3 was dropped from 10 feet height and was perfectly fine.
I owned a Samsung for 5 years without protection/case and drop test it myself, once from the height of 7-8 feet and it was fine for most of the part. Its paint at the side/frame starting coming off after years of drops.
Max Pro M2 also survived drop tests from 6 feet height at all angles. And it also worked fine after being placed in water for 1 hour even though it isn't water proof.
I've never been impressed by Huawei so I never looked into them in depth (except for their idea of putting a buffer in Kirin 710 to boost its performance).

No one Speaks about the radiation. What is the SAR Value? I've heard that MI phones have higher radiation. I'm doubting shall I buy a MI NOTE 7 OR SAMSUNG A30?

Anonymous, 14 May 2019That's not a MIUI problem as MI 9 performs better than many... moreConsequence of MIUI. Not "problem". There are underclocked SD 660 that are faster than RN7 because unlike MIUI, their OS isn't taking half of their chipset performance & capacity while also displaying ads.
Pure android based OS like Android One & Stock Android are much lighter which means less battery consumption and less load on chipset, thus, more performance & battery to spare for tasks the user places on them.

Anonymous, 15 May 2019I have just copied this comment from nokia 6.1 plus
"I bou... moreNever had a single problem with total of 13 Nokia, Samsung and Oppo phones in my household (still got 5.1 Plus). Some of them became children playthings and last up to 5 years without issues before I decided they should be upgraded.
I had problem with all 3 of my Xiaomi phones within months to 2 years (one used to overheat at room temperature then died within months, other two suffered serious battery degradation after 6-18 months). Their customer support admitted I was given defective phones but refused to replace any of them even though they were on warranty. I agree 300% with OP about Xiaomi's poor quality & customer service. If RN7 develops issue, it will be my last purchase from Xiaomi ever. I see its battery is already disappointing but I'm mainly interested in its cameras.
I don't know why it is but I've noticed Xiaomi fans are very desperate to portray other brands to be just as bad as Xiaomi.
Even you searched down a single bad review of defective phone that no one even mentioned here just to counter OP's statement in favour of Xiaomi.
Remember that Nokia phones are not as cheap as Xiaomi. If it had issues like you or the reviewer you mentioned claim it does, it would never be among top brands in so many parts of the world (or beat Samsung as mentioned by OP). It's common sense.

You can check nokia phones comment section and you'll find a lot of complaints.

Anonymous, 14 May 2019A50 is way out of price range to compare. I guess you were ... moreThat's not a MIUI problem as MI 9 performs better than many phones with larger batteries. I'm thinking it's either a snapdragon issue or Xiaomi doesn't optimize their mid-rangers in terms or firmware. But nothing wrong with MIUI itself.

Anonymous, 14 May 2019A50 is way out of price range to compare. I guess you were ... moreAbout x5, yes, I'm sure. As I hinted earlier, OS & Kernel set up are big factors in determining performance & battery. OS takes a lot from device's performance so the less heavier it is, the better (Android One/Stock) and Kernel affects how the device will manage the load placed on it (some favour multitasking, others may favour heavy foreground activity like gaming).
About its chipset, you'll be surprised how many devices are underclocked, so don't panic every time you hear this word. Do panic when you see MIUI written somewhere though. 5.1 Plus gameplay is great.

Anonymous, 14 May 2019A50 is way out of price range to compare. I guess you were ... more+ they can compare the build quality of RN7 with other phones by putting it to test. Just like battery. RN7 was most mocked for its false promise/advertisment about RN7 quality where they smashed a watermelon with it but got damaged easily in drop tests. (See Max pro M1 & M2 build quality tests to compare).

Anonymous, 14 May 2019I have 2 friend which is have note7 and a50, both of them a... moreA50 is way out of price range to compare. I guess you were making a point. How did they compare FPS?
RN7 has minor hiccups while playing PUBG on high graphics (such as during driving) but they're likely to be overlooked by normal users.
As for the issues I mentioned, they are all from the reviews on this very website. It's called a defective product.
so it's not necessary for *all* of their phones to have it but beware that it's possible that yours may - and in Xiaomi phones, that "may" is quite frequent. Your friends will learn about its build quality with time
Aside from slower performance and ads due to MIUI, RN7 battery is indeed disappointing. That was not a defect but a result of having MIUI. Generally, a 3000 mAh phone to lasts around 4 hours in PUBG. RN7 should last at least 5.5-6 hours.
Max Pro M2 lasts 7-8 hours & Realme 3 lasts 6-7 hours (they don't have those hiccups either). OS & Kernel play a very important role in a device's performance.
About Kirin 710, your guess is half right. If I remember it right, they threw in a buffer to help it along but do remember it can't overcome the hardware shortcomings - only push it harder. The thing you should understand about chipsets is that games are often optimised for specific chipsets for better performance. For example, Helio P23 runs PUBG good enough on high graphics but it fails to run some less heavy games like Asphalt 9 smoothly (at the time I looked into it) and couldn't handle PUBG that well either at first.
Kirin 710 is not only a average chipset that is just being pushed harder to perform well but
is also just a Huawei - an uncommon chipset. If you also take into account that you want or *can have* a phone that can handle heavy games in coming 2-4 years, you'll definitely not find it to be that reliable - chipset wise.
