It's my first time buying Xiamio phones. I bought a Redmi Note 7 a day ago through a friend who lives in China and am in Africa (specifically Zambia).when I need to search for applications,the search engine is in Chinese and most applications are in Chinese, is there a way a can recofigure the phone to only have it in English? I know nothing about the chinese language. Please help!!!

Noobtrap phone but still great.
Later when Mi A3 etc release, we're going to have much less competition b.c ppl already buy this phone. Cheers to xiaomi!

i bought this phone, my last phone was Redmi note 4x
Feel a lot better than the previous one, a new design, a stronger chipset, and a newer Android
The thing that did not confirm my expectations was the main camera, You expect awesome snapshots of a 48+5mp camera, but what you get is a typical photo with retouching software!
Occasionally, the "AI" ability in camera make Stupidly smoothes everything!
But on the other, the performance of the Selfie camera is acceptable ;-)

I bought this phone
That's great phone
But for me has one problem
My phone has a dead pixel on top screen beside notch :(((
1.Am i unlucky or many phones has this problem?
2.Change it or keep it?

Kid, 01 Apr 2019wrong.... that's redmi 7 without "note"..... the "redmi not... moreYes it uses Snapdragon 660 and the pro ver. uses Snapdragon 675. Xiaomi gonna kick apple down. They make CRAZILY CHEAAAAAP DEVICES but the performance is so much better. Apple only wins because of brand.

These ads problems seem to be more in China and India as on global version i have not seen even one and i dont use much of the MIUI apps nor do i have turned anything off like that. And customization part i dont understand what you need for that MIUI forums dont have. I see a lot in there make new looks for droid and custom it like you like. Reading yellow news made by people who cant understand facts or anything and just hate the company so much that needs to spread lies about it and your kind will fallow these and think your cool to spread lies cause you have no opinion of your own and is based on yellow lies.

JJ, 01 Apr 2019Indeed, I got one of these - I can recommend it to anyone. ... moreStrange, mine has the third option under the volume pop-up (tap the 3 dots), it's called 'do not interrupt' and the same setting is in the dropdown menu as well. No vibration from what I know and you can schedule it. Then in settings there is even another option for turning vibration off in silent mode.

You either die a hero, or live long enough to see your company slowly become an embodiment of Apple. With how Xiaomi is moving towards as a service company, you'll see more bloat and features you don't want. Even now, MIUI has ads and lacks customizability. They make crazy cheap devices, but a significant portion of their profit comes from services and advertising. A lot of your personal data is shared with third-party companies providing features on MIUI. You are both a consumer and a product.

It doesn't have Snapdragon 660, it has the Snapdragon 632
