To be honest, I think that the vanilla Note8 isn't a proper successor for the vanilla Note7.
Realme Q will easily outperform it, because:
1- it has better cameras (Back: 48+8+2+2 / Selfie: 16)
2- it has a very much better chipset, the SD712. Which is better than every SD6xx.
3- While offering these 2 advantages, it has the same price of the vanilla Note8 (130 euro).
All in all, I hope brands like Realme and Meizu keep up the good work and never let Xiaomi to be alone in making "Value-for-Money" Smartphones.

130€ seems too little when comparing this phone to the Redmi Note 7 which sells for about 170€ right now for about the same specs.. I think it will probably sell at 200€ or so

It would be a real nonsense to replace the back with some plastic glass imitation.

I've spotted it but my current phone doesn't work good with certain sites. About price, global version will be somewhat priceier in E.U. though not too much. Also may be a bit above Note 7's price so it doesn't kill it but it will anyway. Note 7 must drop then if sellers want to get rid of the stock.
Agree Mi 9T is pretty good especially for that price but I'd rather have full support for this particular model which means buy from local seller and 128GB (no slot). That makes it not as good buy as you mention (still not bad but there are alternatives).
CC9 could be also Mi (not A3) model with MIUI in global market. Those are all just rumors for now, though.

D., 05 Sep 2019If they really launch global version of Note 8 this month t... moreHeh, that will be nice, CC9 for Global version (and stock) Mi A3 Pro, Xiaomi use for some reason to much "Pro" Naming. About regular Note 8, it's on sale in China, with Chinese (and English) languages, only, price is for 4/64 about 160 euros.. But knowing Xiaomi pricing.. after 2,3 week, all phones goes lower with price, so to sum up, in the end of this month there will be Global version (maybe 3/32GB varian as well), and standard 4/64 will be about 150 euros, of course, not in EU, but on online shop sites. Note 8 Pro, well, like you said it's Mediatek (maybe good one, but still) no chance for Gcam port, it seems with 8.8, and in couple youtube videos, to thick, it's heavy, big phone.. i bet, Note 8 with 665 and 6.3" screen and 4000mAh battery will last longer between charges, than Note 8 Pro, with G90T, 4500mAh, and 6.53" screen.. in my opinion MI9T is the best choice (for now) price is less than 250 euros, for base model 6/64GB, but for that price we get really good mid range Qualcomm processor (730) really good Amoled with full HD plus resolution, even, small bezells, with pop up front camera. Battery is also good, cameras.. well it's not bad, and have best (back) design in Red, Blue.

You're right they make different phones (versions) for India. So far they said working on Pro for India, I'm still not sure there will be global version released. Well yes it's bigger it must compete with 9X Pro which is even bit bigger and heavier. (budget phone with big screen and good performance) That MTK is still question, needs to be tested, more information about it... it seems it's as fast as they say and camera not bad either, though. We'll see later.
For somebody who wants compact cheap AMOLED A3 price is fine, it's little hard to accept HD in 2019 though... I expect CC9 will have global version too and then nobody can complain about not enough options.

Thats always caee with Xiaomi and their phones for China/Global markets, they are the same. For India, they not. About Note 8 Pro, sure, it will be also in Global version, even the price is not much higher, but it seems to big phone, also MediaTek inside.. Who knows. Now, Mi A3 is even cheaper, abou 170 euros for 4/64, yes its only HD Plus screen, but its compact phone have amoled, good battery, cameras, under ecreen fps, and simple software..
