Anonymous, 02 Sep 2019Snapdragon 665 is better than 660?In terms of decide which one buy it actually doesn't matter they're pretty much the same. 665 more deficient, 660 seems perform a bit better. Not really an upgrade here.

Or a gl... moreThe will be Global version, just like with every Xiaomi phone, first China version for Chinese market, after that Global version, vesion for India market.. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 will be on sale in Global version (Band 20, eu charger, english letters on the box, and manual... Etc) starting 15 septembre. Price is still inknown, but i guess 4/64 will be around 150 euros on online shops like aliexpress

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2019Snapdragon 665 is better than 660?The Snapdragon 665 (launched 2019) is the successor of the old 636. The Snapdragon 660 was of a higher performance tier than the 630 series at the time (both launched 2017). So it's like comparing a previous generation core i5 with a new generation core i3 CPU.
To answer your question, in some benchmarks the old 660 performs a little bit better than the newer 665, however the 665 is more energy efficient owing to it's 11nm lithography and newer techonology.

Y’all here comparing Redmi phone series which are meant to be midrange budget with high end MI models. Of course the cpu and specs are going to be lower. It’s how they would keep their budget down, to make these phone more affordable. If you don’t like the Redmi series them piss off to another model.

The gpu is a 6xx series adreno which is the latest its not fast but android recognize apps by the technology so that means you can play games that are not available for older gpus even if they are so much faster like the adreno 540
