My redmi note 8 keeps on rebooting. It keeps on turning on and off. I already tried the recovery mode and wipe all my data but it doesn't fix the problem. Nothing change. It's so frustrating!

The phone is great but after 2 months of use it starts to slow and lag Awfully. When games is landscape and then u receive a call, it just freeze and by the time you try to pick up, the call has ended.
And this device is really bad at multitasking. I would rate it 40% despite having 4gb ram. I can write an article about the downside of this device. Its by far one of the worst if not the worst device I've ever used.
Pls do not buy. 😂

Anonymous, 27 Jul 2021Redmi note 8 2021 would be better I don't have a problem camera quality is great and all but the battery lasts only a short amount of time for example I was searching and Google things then it was 48 when it was 100 an hour ago idk maybe it is just the Google that drains the battery.

I bought this phone for my father but after 3 months, this redmi note 8 phone started to have problems when my father was calling someone. the device is mute suddenly. Is there a solution on how to repair this damage?

the main problem is adds, which I recently turned off and now it is far better than before and I can say that it is in better shape and is bite fast, but for batteries I think you are wrong this is one of the better batteries, because it lasts a very long time, at least for me, and if there are different batteries for the same model then it is possible for you that it is short-live.

I got redmi note 8 but i decided to sell it and buy Redmi 7. Because of issues. YES performance is good but down side is battery and heating. It's heating while only using social media much more when playing games. Then battery drains fast not only because its 1080p screen but the heating issue is affecting it also. But good phone in terms of performance and camera and sounds. I wish it was 5000mah battery and no heating issues . I will be a good budget phone.

Anonymous, 08 Aug 2021All ads were disabled first day i got the phoneyour message made me ask for a solution and i found a few video instructions that helped to turn off adds, but need separately for each application and it takes time and in the end you still can't remove 100% of this adds,,, which don't exist in any place at all there are simply no adds to the Honor 8x which is a wonderful pleasure, but it is better now and the frustration went away so I thank to you.

What is most annoying about this phone is that the ads are everywhere, and probably it is a problem that it is slowed down, messy and poorly organized, it is not my point to advertise another brand, but since I also bought an Honor 8x at the same time, (which is in category on Note 8), there are no ads and everything is where it should be, the speed is much better and that's why I assumed that these ads, destroy such a beautiful phone.

I think this cell phone is very cheap for the things it has. Has good sound and takes great photos and records good videos and many things. I would have liked that the camera was in the middle and not in the corner of the cell phone and was deeper.

Not recommended at all, system lagging even I'm lite user I dont have too much app running, the wifi disconnect sometimes without any reason while all other devices at hime is connected.
The last and the worst problem is the endless boot loop that I experience lately and no update from xiaomi for fixing any of these problem.
Well, I like to try new brand always but I'm done with xiaomi

- laggy UI, I think it has more to do with the optimization
Pros
- nice screen with great contrast and color despite using IPS LCD display
- good camera
- light and comfortable to hold
- great built quality (Gorilla Glass sandwitch)
- sleek & beautiful design, love looking at it after I undres.. ahem took off the casing
- great battery life (4000mAh) can last me until midnight with medium usage
- speaker is meh only but nothing to complain about
