One of my worst phones when it comes to practical use. Poor connection to internet (WiFi or 4g), and the battery is the biggest problem. Barely used over 1 year and now I'm facing charging problems, which has never occured with other brands I've used.

Google Camera is a must have with this phone. Picture quality increases dramatically. I couldn't believe my eyes when I compared pics taken with the stock camera.

i can't really decide if i should go with this or the Redmi 9T. i'm quite a heavy user and 9T's batteru capacity really gets me, but Note 8's 4k video recording and gyro support is what gets me for RN8. so help, i guess?

I'm disappointed by this phone. Laggy, terrible display, slow performance and bad battery life.

Got it a few days ago after a long time wanting it. Was going for the Note 9 but I didn't like the Mediatek chipset, which also prevented it from getting 4k support in playback and recording. This also means it loses h.265 10-bit.
Big screen, the colors felt weird but that is me coming from an AMOLED panel previously. I do miss the pure black colors though.
Awesome battery. Updated it to MIUI 12, did a factory reset, and I'm rocking it. Over 9 hours of screen time on a full charge. The chipset is solid, but the software is kinda heavy so it has a few laggy animations.
A very capable phone after two years.

Only thing i like about is the 1080p screen. The rest is terrible especially it lags and hangs a lot in Android 10, and wont receive Android 11.

I have bought the pocox3 because of some great promotions lately and now i am thinking of just selling it off instead of changing phone

this redmi note 8 is a hidden treassure!
the camera, built quality, the Full HD screen (and...with TUV Rheinland which always not explained in reviewing), the processor is also 'too much strong" for this class.
you might not believe it because appearantly it just look like other cheap phones..

My personal conclusion, for the price to performace, redmi note 8 is a hidden treassure.

I'll try to help you, so if the barrier is $ 10 then skip lunch at a restaurant and save that $ 10. What you get more with Realme c3 is higher battery capacity and bigger display, but bigger display doesn't mean better and one of the most important is a good display means better images, better fonts, smoother lines, or higher quality, everybody wants that, right?
Note 8 packs a 6.3" IPS LCD panel of 1080p resolution behind a Gorilla Glass 5.
Note 8 has a higher pixel density 409ppi and maximum brightness of 473 nits( it can light up as high as 630 nits in bright ambient light) and one exciting bit is the support for HDR10 - a rarity among the mobile LCD screens, than the Realme C3 - 720p. 264ppi,and in daylight you will need shelter while in direct sunlight there will be frustration.
Also in all other things it is better
                        1- 64-4GB vs 32-3GB is a very big difference
2- glass back (Gorilla Glass 5)
                        3- + 8 MP, (ultrawide), and 2 MP, (macro)
                        4- Selfie Camera 13 MP
                        5- 4K@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps; gyro-EIS
                        6- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band
                        7- Infrared port
                        8- gyro
Now decide if $ 10 is worth this,I'm sure you can save them, invest in better.

Should I go with the 4gb ram 64gb Xiaomi redmi note 8 or Real me c3 (32gb 3gb ram). I am not a heavy user and dont plan on playing any games in either. All I want to know is if either of these devices are good enough for video editing (green screen chroma key etc.) Which one has better cameras and which ui is the best. (Note: Realme c3 is about 10$ cheaper).

I think you should clear your phone's cache and also delete unnecessary apps, also close the tabs on chrome and then restart your phone. This seemed to work on my redmi note 8 pro.

I would avoid factory reset as much as possible. In my experience from previous phones it is unfortunately quite normal for major updates to slow down the phone. you have to do a hard reset to unlock the phone and if you want to save the data on sd card then first remove the sd card from the phone,
but if you want to save your data which is in the internal memory then do not reset the phone but it is best to go to the nearest mobile service or mobile store to unlock your phone for a small amount of money but don't forget to bring the original box with the IMEI phone number

I don't hope at all and I don't expect, I just summed up that if it took 16 months for the A-10 then the question is how much longer it takes for the A-11,
and we know that Chinese models and the global model differ in software,
but now the phone works great that way how should it be
because before with MIUI 11 there were a lot of problems,
but now thanks to their team for fixing it and with MIUI 12 it works great
                                      and I definitely enjoy it
and I wish everyone the same experience.
