I have purchased new redmi note 8 two months before... I found this phone as a worst one which I have ever used. Main issue shown was the connectivity problem , means to any network connection the phone shows out off coverage area alert. Every one contacting to my number get the out off coverage area alert,but phone is in full range and I can call to any number.Once I contacted to any number , for a few minutes the caller can get me , after that same network alert showing to the callers. I change my SIM connection and tried again.. still same issue...one more thing is that the phone gets too hot up on charging and sometimes wifi gets cut off or phone not responding to the signal.

Straight to my point:
XIAOMI/REDMI device can't use an external microphone?
I bought Boya BY-MM1 external mic,
try to use it on Redmi Note 8, but nothing recorded!
Then I tried to Redmi Note 4, it's the same, nothing recorded!
I tried another brand mobile; using the same external mic: Samsung Note 5, P20, it successfully recorded the sound clearly.
Then I tried using another brand external mic, still, the Redmi recorded nothing!
Whats is your opinion?

I'm using Redmi Note 8 128GB/4GB RAM..Very bad experience with this device..always having internet connectivity issue..Reset / Hard reset/ Soft reset all done but still it is like bulshitttttttt.

Honest review, 07 May 2020Does anyone have dust problem in camera lense? My phone's l... moreWell... there seems to be some problem regarding the adhesive they used in camera module. So dust can get inside the camera module and settle on the inner part. However, not every RN8 seem to have this issue.
What you can do is to contact Mi service center and they will clean the camera glass from inside and apply new adhesive BUT there is no guarantee that it won't happen again...
Bottom line: Manufacturing defect and you happen to be one of the unfortunate ones.

It crashed my phone once and often stopped / paused when I locked it (it's supposed to run in the background). It's MIUI, I'm not using this POS anymore because of all the problems.

Please help me before I throw this sh*tty phone on the ground. I just can't make google maps work normally (if it does). location services is apps are awful! also youtube tells me I'm offline when I'm using mobile net (works ok on WiFi). besides these problems, this phone is just NOT user friendly (phone, messaging, notifications etc.). Imagine, how stupid man looks changing Iphone 6s+ on this piece of sh*t...

Ok after about a week playing with this phone;
I was getting a not bad SOT about 8-9 hours per charge using only 4G in 12 hours on/standby as mentioned in my previous post.
It's quite ok with me but it's kind of irritating when seeing the battery % decrease faster compare to my previous redmi note 5
So the solutions are;
In Connection & sharing > turn off cast & printing
In Account & sync > turn of any sync that you dont need
In Google>Security> turn off find my device
You may also turn of find my device in your mi account too if you want
In Password & Security> Location>scanning> turn off WiFi & Bluetooth scanning
You may also turn off everything that you don't need one by one by accessing the menus

games keep reconnecting when I got strong wifi , needs to transfer to another network (5GHz to 2.4Ghz) or vice versa in order to reconnect . Tried to reset the wifi settings turn off the wifi assistance but it just keeps getting worse. If anyone had issues like mine and you found a fix to it ? please let me know so that I can fix my Redmi note 8.

Does the phone support 5g Wi-Fi
