Let me share my experience with you.
Once i rooted my redmi note 4. It was all smooth for some time. Suddenly my storage was full and i had tried all the methods to make it empty. I even opened my root directory and tried to free some space from there, but all my efforts was in vain. It automatically gets filled after sometime.

Ok so I rooted my phone using KingRoot. After a bit my phone started acting up so I decided to reset it with the recovery menu. After it rebooted and I reached the WiFi connection in the setup thing it said "To see available connections,Turn WiFi On.", once I finished it I tried to turn WiFi on but it would do nothing, and this is the same with bluetooth. I figured unrooting would fix the problem but to make matters worse it thinks I haven't rooted AND I can't uninstall it because it has become an apparent defaul app.

Sorry for all those who ask for the opinion of an incompetent person and believe in them, they make impermissible changes to the phone, like improper root, which may degrade the user experience of their phone.You should remember that by rooting your phone, you are making changes to the stock operating system. And they system may not respond positively to the tweaks that you’ve made to it. It’ll in turn, start responding sluggishly. It may even freeze in between apps, It may open a backdoor to any hacker,
some hardware/sensors do not support, Kills your battery,Update Problems,Nowadays many apps will not work with root, Like banking apps, Netflix,
and then the bad comments start that the phone is wrong,
so I advise you do not root your phone and to find out more review about any phone go to an authorized site, just enter the full review model and see and get the right answer.

-Delayed notifications, often don't even arrive (mostly when the phone is locked).
-Auto-Brightness is aggressive. If you adjust brightness, it doesn't learn your preferences and resets back to its fixed values.
-Bluetooth has difficulties with Wifi. Speed drops by 80% or more when Bluetooth is on.

As for recommendations, I really don't know. I can't find anything non-Chinese that is pocketable and not as big as a remote control :).

Bluetooth / Wifi is still problematic with those and the camera sensors aren't supported because officially it doesn't have an Android 10 build.

Great phone for the price...just unlocked the bootloader ...now am going to root and flash some android 10 roms on it... don't pay attention to the guys trolling this phone ... it's amazing ....if u want a perfect phone then buy a flagship but for this price I'm pleased with it
