The earpiece is larger and the bottom speaker is way louder and clearer.
The camera(s) are also better (48mp mode, good sharpness).
The fingerprint sensor just works as it should, unlike the one in the A50.
The sim card tray is metal and has a gasket on. A50 doesn't even have that...
The build quality is absolutely flawless as always with Xiaomi. Way better than the A50, and I'm not even talking about the glossy and quickly scratched up plastic.
The display is pretty nice for an LCD and with the contrast at standard (third profile) is the most accurate. It's no OLED but has a really good contrast ratio for an LCD.
Battery life is also amazing. Looks like I will get 9-10 hours screen-on-time. The A50 was only getting 6-7 hours for me.
On top of all of that MIUI 11 is better organized than MIUI 10. With a nice launcher it gets even better.
The Note 8 is a bit thicker and heavier than the A50 because of the LCD and the glass back.
If you don't need UFS Storage or OLED but want better cameras, an actually working fingerprint sensor, a loud and clear speaker and a well built solid phone, than I definitely recommend the Redmi Note 8 over the Galaxy A50, especially for the lower price."

You have disproved that Wifi + bluetooth is working properly with your own video and here you are still saying there is no problem. Like what? Atleast fake your video so you don't look stupid haha.

how did i not thank you, look again and you will see that i thanked you right away on page 16, as you said yourself so, this is not a lie? but when i asked you for some more information you did not answer and now when i'm not addressing to you,again you are messing up, OK you are a dissatisfied person in every way, you do not have a single positive comment, unlike you others enjoy in nice things,BUT if we disagree then there is no no need to argue , greetings to you in good faith, thanx for your advice i bought it for my wife and she is happy for her gift for 31 years in marriage, i wish all this happiness to all of you.

It's very good phone. I like it. I had samsung note8 for 2 years. Before samsung s6 for 2 years. I paid 900 for samsung note8 . It had problem and the price for repairing was 160 . So i bought this phone 180 euro.
I like redmi note 8. Very good in antenna and everything. I have a lot with reasonable price. Specially the battery is very good. I am surprised with this phone.
The bothering thing are:
1- No difference between notification and ringtone volume.
2- cast to smart TV has lags, but samsung is very fast without lags.
3- delay in changing camera from rear to selfie
Keyboard ( changing language is not sliding, has another button)

Nope. Even if we have the same software, something could operate differently and glitch out. You can't blame it on "service" or equipment if other phones, tablets, PCs and laptops have no problems. You can visit Mi community and tell this to the hundreds of people that complained about this since launch.
Tested Wifi and bluetooth with a Galaxy Tab S5e, Galaxy S8, iPhone X and a Lenovo S340 with an Intel Pentium Gold and guess what, even that low end laptop was able to maintain speeds with bluetooth headphones connected. What is your argument for that?

of course there is no problem with wi-fi signal
so I did a video showing, and from the left side is Honor 8X versus the right side is Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 which is heavily criticized for poor wi-fi signal
so here you go, look carefully, I connected to 2 different wi -fi network's that -ballet-network is from my neighbor,across the street from 20 meters distance and plus the first part has a test with ,bluetooth on,
so here's to all those who have a problem with their wi-fi operator,
not a phone, you probably use slow services.
