This is the stupidest thing Xiaomi have ever made. Its way behind modern tech, it wasn't nearly as popular as the Note 8 Pro and its priced near other much better phones. It's even nerfed!
Only an absolute moron would make this phone in 2021 and only someone even more stupid would buy it.
Get a 9T or M3 pro and thank me later.

Are there people who bought this phone already? I wanna ask something regarding the chipset, actually about the sim card reader, do developers fixed the main problem with the redmi note 8 first series onto this new 2021 version? I'm using the first version and well thd sim card reader is a pain on the neck!! Google gets frozen while trying to navigate. The full screen mode doesnt have at least that one thick line below. The camera takes its time to take a picture even though i changed to 720 px and so on...

Rom is eMMC5.1 which is rubbish compared to UFS in Poco M3 with the same price

I owned an 8T and the 2019 release. Sad to see a basic re-release but hopefully they fixed the backlight IC blowing. This phone is actually really nice. Shame they didn't add NFC like the 8T has, or a bigger battery for the G85 since it isn't as efficient. Or even more ram. But if the price is below $250AUD than that'd be nice

Since they re-released the Redmi Note 8 with a Mediatek Helio G85 they should also re-release the Redmi Note 8 Pro with Snapdragon Snapdragon 732G or better

Are they? I still have a Sony with the fingerprint reader on the right side and have both my right thumb as well as my left middle finger added to the app, depending on which hand is currently free I can easily unlock it.
