Joeking, 14 Mar 2020Am thinking of buying the RN8P since realme X2 and Poco X2 ... moreI have RN8P since December and can only recommend it. Great performance (I become fan of Mediatek) awesome battery and high end design. Looking on RN9P is only small upgrade over RN8P, bigger battery, similiar performance and photo expirience, same screen. I think it goes to the design - I prefer RN8P notch over ugly 'hole on the screen' (totally personal opinion) and I'm not a fan of rectangular photo island. I will not upgrade and wait for RN10P hehe.

Joeking, 14 Mar 2020Am thinking of buying the RN8P since realme X2 and Poco X2 ... moreI think I already posted below about which to choose but it seems like you are asking for gaming this time
Idk what the battery Endurance will be the RN9P tbf but the RN8P has an outstanding battery life so it should be a good choice if you are planning to play mobile games for a long time.
Now talking about Performance, The RN8P is still outstanding but im not sure what is different between the Snapdragon 750G and the Mediatek Helio G90T as i never owned a Snapdragon phone but I'll leave that to someone who experienced it to see if there is a difference.
I think overall, both phones should be outstanding but I would wait for more information about the RN9P then consider which I should buy.

GorujoCY, 14 Mar 2020"User "GorujoCY" made a claim that was simply unfounded, to... moreYou are still making the same claim without attempting to substantiate it.
Why should someone go for RN8P instead of RN9P if they want a more energy efficient phone when you can't prove that Helio G90T is more energy efficient than Snapdragon 720G (shouldn't you know the major specs of the phone you were comparing against?) or that that the former is better optimized than the latter?
You haven't used RN9P, have you? It hasn't been reviewedÂÂ… sorry, it hasn't even been released yet, so what exactly is the basis of your claim and/or recommendation?
Looking at specs alone, the SD 720G is manufactured using smaller node, 8nm—a process that would lead to smaller power draw, and which is, in turn, a predictor of energy efficiency—while the Helio G90T is 12nm.
You didn't simply say that the Helio G90T is an energy efficient SoC—if you did, I'd not had responded to it—you claimed that phone X is more energy efficient than phone Y. And don't make it look like I'm the one being dramatic; if you're gonna make a bold assertion, like the one you made, on public comment section, you should expect a response asking for clarification.
I have no issue with you personally—I don't even know who you are—but I have issue with your comment which, to me, is misinformation. Misinformation is no better than "no information", if anything, it's worse. And the comment section on this website is full of them. You don't have to unfairly put another phone down just to display your likeness for another.

Cyberchum, 14 Mar 2020I've used more MTK phones than I've used QCom ones and, no!... more"User "GorujoCY" made a claim that was simply unfounded, to say the least."
Pretty sure not, i literally said that if you want an energy Efficient chipset (literally meaning the Mediatek Helio G90T) then buy the RN8P instead of the RN9P that has a Snapdragon (750G iirc?), and the whole overall point of the last comment was that it depends on user preference, do you like the battery on one of the 2 phones? The camera? The performance? It's up to your choice.
I don't get how this lead you to me "claiming" that Mediatek Heli G90T is Energy efficient even tho it is true and you already said in tis reply.
Let's not get into a drama already about a chipset please.
